What other 'real world' uses are there for VR aside from porn and games?
 

Lets say I go get a Samsung S7 and a Gear VR headset. OK, I'm all ready to enjoy VR at home. But, aside from Porn and games though, what other real world use could I make of it? :helpme

I dont wanna purchase, use it and think, hmmm thats cool - & then never bother to use it again if you see what I mean :upsidedow

you just found the biggest issue with VR ;)

it has not yet a killer application for the mainstream market that makes people buy headsets in large numbers (without having to explain to their wives why they bought this)

Once AR gets a bit better and mixed in with VR, company meetings would be neat.

Training in the physical sciences, in particular the medical arts would be a high value use for VR.

That was my answer - Medicine is the obvious one...

No candy crush or Tetris on VR? Why not?

Medicine, Tourism, Real estate, Theme parks (Roller Coasters), Remote Access / Control of bots, just a few things I can think of off the top of my head, although these aren't really personal uses for someone who owns a headset, more a business.

Plus movies one can watch at home.
