Top Gun is my all time favorite movie. Always will be.

Even though it scared the shit out of me as a kid, Alien & then Aliens is still a favorite of mine.. Of course the 1st 3 Star Wars as well.

To be honest, I don't even remember the script in details. He has dated some girl, as far as I remember and it was too boring (used to call this sort of movies a pink snot). I really don't remember he had a hassle with Russians there. The only action scene I remember is when his co-pilot has died because the US catapulting systems suck a big time ;)

BTW, Rambo was a real dramatic movie. I liked it. Rambo II and Rambo III were pure comedies. Rambo IV... I don't even remember what it was about. The only picture which stands in my mind is how John stands being a big machine gun and grinds millions of bad guys into chopped meat somewhere in South America... or it was Asia again... I'm always forgetting the stupid and boring movies almost just immediately.

Yes, it's great and I also love the book (read it before I saw the movie), but it's not something the kids may fully understand IMHO.
