I am talking about my opinion. Yes, it is better than S7, but since everyone was talking about it like it's the next big thing, there are no MAJOR improvements in comparison to S7.
Since you have an S7 Edge, S8 is definitely better since the edges don't take so much 'space' on the screen, but in general, I don't see any huge changes, still I am no expert.

the face / iris recognition is nice and new, the Bixby is a new and nice feature worth a mention, not totally new, but sweet [while browsing your photos you can say 'make this my wallpaper photo] and it will be done / when you shoot a product it can/will recognize and tell you where to buy it, etc]
But the major thing - in my eyes at least - is the The desktop experience function. Go browse there, this is MAJOR, I think, and it is actually working.
So this is not a phone, the phone function is the very last you will use. This is a fucking mobile computer, for real, which can fit in your pocket.
And this function alone will make me buy this. I was just looking for a phone with Android and Perfect Camera and S7 edge pretty much does this. However autofocus fails sometimes, but they fixed this they say on S8 with the laser addon. S7 made so fucking brilling photos in dark I was totally satisfied.
99 of 100 new phones won't offer even minor developments, now this S8 offers Way More. :2 cents:
