Another Free Site Question - Forget it's 2017

OK I know I am probably 10 years behind the time... but forgetting it's 2017 for now...

If you was making a FREESITE, what is the best software... I need something to manage the THUMBS, something to manage the BANNERS, something to manage the TGP (or is that the same as THUMBS ?!?

I see it as two different things... On the free site I see a lot of thumbs I need linked direct to sites, where as obviously I see the TGP linked to galleries... does that make sense, I am such a newb lol...

Also something to manage traffic exchanges, even though I am sure people don't really do exchanges nowadays lol... :error

And anything else worth adding ? Such as some sort of tube feed... any advice greatly appreciated... no troll drama please (now there's hoping right)

And finally I need someone (a programmer) to make this happen... :thumbsup :helpme

And Yes...

Google is my friend, I will go and do some investigating... but just seeing if anyone wants to hand out some advice :winkwink:

Typically, on a free site your thumbs would link to a bigger image, not directly to a site.

On your internal links you would link a thumb to an html page with a bigger image and a sponsor banner top and bottom perhaps.

For galleries you would have almost the same thing but some lists still do not allow the image to be on an html page so there the thumbs would link to just a bigger image and the banners would be on the page with the thumbs.

You can do all of that by hand without any need of a programmer or a database. Flat html is much better (imho) then dynamic pages for SEO purposes.

Some old school tutorials - These are out of date in that nowadays you would probably be using styles (css) to achieve colors and so forth, but all the code still works and probably will for the forseeable future:

Basic TGP Gallery Building

Used to do something similar using DigitalDutch.com's Arles Image Web Page Creator. You can link the thumbs to anything you want.
Then contact WOJ for some magic and you will be all set.
