Trump Just Signed the Repeal Of U.S. Broadband Privacy Rules
Trump Signs Repeal Of U.S. Broadband Privacy Rules | The Huffington Post U.S. President Donald Trump on Monday signed a repeal of Obama-era broadband privacy rules, the White House said. Republicans in Congress last week narrowly passed the repeal of the privacy rules with no Democratic support and over the strong objections of privacy advocates. |

Not very bright really that rule should have been expanded to all advertisers. If consumers want to opt-in to receive the tailored ad content fine.
This is just guaranteeing more use of adblockers and a boost to VPN and tor use. |
Select privacy settings:
-Visible to everybody and the CIA -Visible to my friends and the CIA -visible to just the CIA |
Now there is zero privacy at all and we can blame it directly on the Republican party.

Trump is a chump and suckered you into to letting carriers make more money off YOU, money you'll never see while they continue to raise rates. Trump loves the 1% and the poorly educated. |
they need to buy the search/browser info on the republicans in congress so we can see what they are looking at
Out one of them and watch the privacy act go back into effect It's not we the people. It's we the corporations! |
dumb libs are too dumb to understand that search engines were already selling search data, so deleting this obama reg levels the playing field so ATT can compete with google.
& the same dumb libs whining here about privacy have no problem with the liberal president listening in on FISA taps to find dirt on trump. dumb libs. :1orglaugh |

Google and Facebook sell user data, as do other sites. But I can choose not to use those sites. I can get online and use sites that don't sell user data. If I CHOOSE to use sites like Google and Facebook I am accepting their terms and know they are selling my data. Allowing ISPs to gather and sell user data doesn't level the playing field because I am already paying the ISP for their service. If they want to make more money, charge me more or offer other services that I can buy. About 30% of the homes in this country have no choice when it comes to ISP. There is one in their area and if they want access to the Internet they have to use that ISP. Now they have no choice when it comes to their privacy. They can't just choose to avoid sites that sell their private data and use others that don't. They only have one choice for an ISP and if they want access to the Internet they have to be willing to surrender their privacy. People should have a problem with this happening. |
There is more to this story than the libtard media is having a panic attack over.
Obama designated the internet as a public communications service that falls under the jurisdiction of the FCC rather than the FTC. Trump is reversing that. Thus this FCC rule has to go. Your ISP is not going to sell your search and browsing history. |
You can't rely on the Huffington Post for the full story. They are FAKE NEWS by omission of vital information.
Here is a more complete story: WHAT THE ONLINE PRIVACY VOTE IS REALLY ABOUT If you've been watching TV or on social media, you've heard that “Republicans are going to let Internet providers sell your browser history.” It’s not true. Not even close. What’s really happening is that a corrupt Google power grab from the Obama administration is being overturned. Here’s the real history. https://www.conservativereview.com/c...s-really-about |
