VR Cams - are Cams studios prepared for VR streaming ?

I have very similar question related to VR Cams here as Vr Porn a 1,5 year ago :

Are there any cam studios already streaming in VR format already ? Will this be the next trend in whole Cam industry or just a some crazy stuff for tech freaks ?

thanks for your ideas

VR Webcams Revolutionize Live Adult Entertainment

I haven't promoted it yet, but Cummision has a live VR cam site to promote.

rokoroko 04-04-2017 04:47 PM

yes, I have seen this one affiliate for aliceX , just this one I am aware. There I was sending some of my VR Porn traffic, but its not as good as having embedded solution ( like cams com has) , to be used on my domains, websites.

Are you waiting for critical mass? VR still seems very very niche, based on hardware sales.

I'm stepping in really soon.:thumbsup

VR streaming is coming.. good VR streaming. VR is going to take 5-10 more years before you can call it mainstream.
I remember back in 1998 when all of the pets.com type places were shutting down becaue folks just were not ready yet

I believe VR is the future... but until Apple, XBox etc all release their VR headset solutions it's still insanely niche

Barry-xlovecam 04-05-2017 09:18 AM

No because there are no VR production cams available for purchase for live streaming at reasonable prices.

What do you consider reasonable prices ?

Barry-xlovecam 04-05-2017 11:15 AM

^^ less than $500 -- the studios and the models would have to buy them.

Also, there are issues integrating their (VR Cams) broadcast demands into our existing pay network. Static video is not that difficult streaming live is a whole other drama.

I am qouting Terpon VR Webcam page :

"VR Webcams are about to revolutionize the entire adult entertainment industry. Terpon technology is at the forefront of the webcam business because we are the first to provide plug and play webcams capable of performing perfectly in low light settings at bandwidth rates similar to traditional 2D flat content cameras.....

Terpon cameras are available now and are priced at just $29.99 for a monthly rental that includes FREE upgrades"

These live vr streaming cams seems to be offered for more than affordable price : "Terpon cameras are available now and are priced at just $29.99 for a monthly rental that includes FREE upgrades"

anybody has a chance to try them already ? - I am not affiliate with them , I am just curious.

RENTAL? LMAO good fucking luck

That is $360/yr give me one and if it works we will discuss a purchase price.

What about the live content delivery requirements? It has to work into our system. We are a multi-million dollar business. This is not a science experiment ...

This I found on Their website about requirements :

Any Mac or Windows computer show work flawlessly with your new Terpon VR webcam! An i5 processor is recommended and ideally an i7 or equivalent processor will provide the best performance. Simply plug your new VR webcam into a standard USB3 port and turn it on? then turn your customers on in a whole new way! Our friendly expert support staff is always available to answer your questions and provide tech support if you have any questions!

I think there's a problem on the consumer side as well...

Always after watching about 4-5 minutes of a video on my GearVR with Galaxy S6, an alert pops up and says "Your device is overheated, please remove for a while for better performance" or something like that...

I think I tested it on Galaxy S7 and it lasted longer but I am not sure these 'vr devices' would be capable of displaying this streaming content for longer periods of time...

some statistics till Dec 2016 sold devices : PSVR 1M, GearVR 5M, Cardboard Google 170-200M , Oculus 200 t, Vive 400 t

Barry-xlovecam 04-06-2017 02:55 AM

So you say ... I don't rent my equipment that includes the racks of servers we own.

Hawkins 04-06-2017 03:25 AM

Some chinese guys showed VR streaming cams on MWC this year in Barcelona and the price was below 200$, but they were focused on 360 degrees, not what we need for porn.

Barry-xlovecam 04-06-2017 03:52 AM

You don't seem to get the point -- we are running a business not a fucking technology experiment.

The VR camera is only a part of the equation. We have a very complex back-end broadcasting hundreds of webcams simultaneously. Studios use both dedicated cams and cam splitters and their adoption success is what would matter.

Bottom line -- we are a broadcasting network and not a film studio.

If and when the technology matures to broadcasting standards we will be interested and not until then. I am not against the technology but its integration into OUR systems and its market viability is what our decisions are going to be based on -- not some show and tell or some website's claims.

rokoroko 04-09-2017 01:01 PM

hope its not too much offtopic :

just bought domain name VRCams dot biz for planned business in VRCams ,-)

just small remark , when there is a space, market for VR Porn and already most of interested parties are not hesitating about existance VR in Porn , and the trend for VRPorn is growing every month so there is space ,market for VRCams too. The question is just when it comes ( mainstream ).

rokoroko 04-23-2018 04:00 AM

Does anybody have some new experience with VR Cams during these 10 months period?

I still don't believe it will not work well for CamGirls Business.

Early adopters are saturated with VR Cams now.

beavr 04-23-2018 11:46 PM

There was not much development in VR cams over the year.

VR porn is still doing great.

What's your particular interest in VR? I mean what do you do in VR right now? SexLikeReal is always looking for new collaborations in VR.

SexBabesVR 04-24-2018 06:05 AM

I remember in early 2017 there was a lot of talk about AliceX and how it will revolutionise the cam market. Nothing major until now, but I'm positive the VR cam market will eventually evolve to a bigger market.

VR porn on the other hand, is doing great! :)

Tjeezers 04-25-2018 08:21 AM

I have tried a few times, I really wanted to participate, but the ROI is way to low. Models on a studio are not per direct working on 1 site alone. It takes also model training for a studio, meaning extra hours of work. I bet solo stand alone models have a better shot at this. Specially cause they are more influencers on their own and not to compare with a studio concept. Gamer Girls can combine this with Webcam Work, no need to work with studios. And that what Barry Xlove says, also that...

So neither the models nor the studios can afford to invest https://www.google.com/search?source....0.SkgeWqeTZtQ To double their sales.

Xlovecam obviously can't afford it.

Paul Markham 04-25-2018 08:43 AM

Found some who can afford it.

I agree with Tjeezers_Brokerbabe that it will be the individual girls promoting themselves, they can defintely afford it.

The only thing you can afford to do is talk shit on the internet, to people actually working and making money in the porn industry.

oh wow paul did a search...if only barry and the other cam companies knew how to do this they would solve all their problems :1orglaugh:1orglaugh:1orglaugh

isnt it amazing how no cam company worth mentioning has adopted VR? but paul knows the solution because he can google stuff :1orglaugh:1orglaugh:1orglaugh

I'm just repeating what Barry said.

I do however think that individual models not working for a studio and seeing a small % of what the customer pays will be the ones to fist adapt. I also listed sites that came up in a Google search.

Once again you are caught talking out your ass, which must be loose lipped. :1orglaugh
