So we saw "LIFE" for free a few days ago, and I hated it. It's TERRIBLE. Don't waste your time. Glad I didn't have to pay to see it.

So these guys at the ISS come into Martian soil in the dumbest way you can imagine.

They decided to dig into it and find life, and it starts growing for a while. Then it stops. They "bring it back to life" again in the dumbest way you can imagine.

Then it starts to grow fast and starts killing each person off one at a time. They try to kill it in - you guest it - the dumbest way*s* you can imagine.

The pro's: Some really good visual effects. Space, ISS, all look beautiful. All the zero-G movement of the actors looked perfect.

The con's: STUPID story. WEAK script. BORING acting. Some BAD Visual Effects (CG Blood looks like shit people, stop using CG for blood already...goddammit!). Ryan Renolds plays himself. Jake Gillinalalalalal plays nobody. All the other actors are forgettable. Lots and lots of bad science, and a stupid ending you will absolutely see coming.

Anyone who compares this to "Aliens", never saw "Aliens".

How does it compare to Promethues? I thought that was a really good movie and remember some Alien fans bashing it. Love the Alien movies as well, Aliens was the best of them :thumbsup

DVD is a recent innovation which replaces VHS tapes :stoned

Prometheus has a 7.0 on IMDB so lots of people liked it. Personally I didn't like it but then again I only saw it once, and sometimes I warm-up to movies watching them a second time. I *should* have liked it, but, I don't know... I'll watch it again and let you know.

For comparisons sake, I loved "Arrival" and just watched it again last night. I like it even better the second time around.

Really? Hmm... LIFE also scores 7.0 on IMDB. I don't know, maybe I'm just too picky. :)


Wait until it comes out on regular TV or Netflix or something like that.

Until then, get Arrival on Bluray. Watch it on a 65" HDR TV in Dolby Atmos with the volume cranked to 11, and you will feel your mind expand.
