'The odds that we are in base reality are one in billions'
Hello, sorry for my drunken posts yesterday. I am not very good at handling alcohol. Stimulant drugs were always my preference, but lately I enjoy sobriety most.
What do you think about this? |

why accept the confinements of the real world when you can "upload" yourself in to a virtual one?...
it makes no sense to stay in the human body once a certain level of technological progress has been achieved...a simulation is inevitable... |
I love this theory. I think it really explains so much. I you can really start to accept life this way it really can be a stress reducer.

When I was 17, cutting class and dropping acid at the beach -- I hypothesized that rocks were alive but we couldn't hear them speak: the rock's lifetime, until it becomes sand, is measured in millions of years where a mortal man's life is measured in decades.
Acid delusions of relativity I suppose. Then I came down :1orglaugh |
It's important to hang out with creative people and do drugs in a controlled environment with them/one at least once.
In the world we're in, we're taught to contain ourselves. Why? Ever wonder why you get a weird feeling when entering a dentist office, hospital or doctors office? A controlled environment where, without fail, you're checked and adjusted in some way, usually changing your existence afterwards in some small way. You never walk out feeling the exact same way right? If life as we know it was virtual I'd be glad I had the awareness to sense this. I would then evolve myself to be a creator in this environment to leave my footprint, pushing my vision outward in a controlled way to change my environment to my liking. Some people are designers, house builders, painters, etc. I'm a photographer & coder. My take on life is you spend the first half wondering where you came from and the second half preparing to go back. When you reach that apex of awareness is when you're switching to the second phase. I see it with people who died young, middle age, etc. You ever hear the saying that "they were ahead of their time"? Some people are taken before they're ready, I still don't understand that, but I think it's for a good reason for them, or us, in the end. |

And if you think about it: who are you? Where are you located right now? What is that thing that makes you, you? And where is it? There is no such thing, and, as a person, you don't exist. It's an illusion. According to quantum mechanics, it's not possible to create a 100% copy of a person. There is just no way around Heisenberg's uncertainty principle... but if there was, that other you would not be a copy or a clone, it would be you. Momentarily... If I met myself from 10 years ago, I'd probably think 'omg what a cunt'. But that was not me, there are pretty much no atoms in me right now that made me up 10 years ago. And that is a continual process. Every time you wake up in the morning, you're not the same as you were before bed. From one moment to another, 'you' kind of die and a new 'you' is born. There is no real you. So yeah, relocating consciousness is the easy part, as there is nothing to relocate. |

The broken heart thing is just human stupidity, is it not? There are so many humans all over the place, you just go and start fucking someone else. And if you can't get laid and get stuck with yourself thinking about someone, well, that's just a problem of not being able to get laid. Theoretically speaking... no one fucks me in the first place, so I don't have such problems :D

Objectivism fails because the human brain is litterally two people working together as one (simplified). Youre basically an analytical machine with a unique imagination & emotion to foster creation. The more balance you strike between your analytical side & creative side of your mind, the happier you'll be. You've been focused on schoolwork a lot so your left brain has been working overtime being analytical & logical. Now you're objectifying other humans and also classifying emotion as "human stupidity", this is a sign you need to give your right brain some time in control. I'd fuck you :thumbsup Did you read my response here? |

why display an original painting and risk it being stolen/damaged when you can display a copy?.... this is the same dilemma when you reach a certain point in technology where you can store the body for example and take control of the senses without actually relocating anything...even if the consciousness can not be relocated, everything around it sure can be simulated... your current body may be just a drone...you may be a "brain in a jar" somewhere...or like in the matrix movies there may be a plug behind your head... living within the confinements of the real world is not something technologically advanced civilizations will continue to do...mankind may be far from this technological point but if we had the chance we would replace the real world with a simulated and controlled one... why die in a car crash or get infected when you can be in your sterile pod and safe from actual physical harm?...you can explore the volcano and reset if you slip in to the lava?...you get the point... |
