I hope Cadillac didn't use a GPS system to do their highway mapping, In California my GPS was often up to 200yds out. And now with the latest system i purchased last week in Maine its as much as 400 yds out. :error

Renault-Nissan group sold 9.98 million vehicles in 2016 and could become the first automobile group in the world with the acquisition of Mitsubishi Motors.
Also, the group is already the world’s leader in zero-emissions mobility. It has sold its 350,000th electric vehicle since December 2010, when the Nissan LEAF went on sale.

Self driving doesn't rely on GPS. GPS is used to get from here to there, but there are all kinds of sensors on self-driving cars to help it navigate around other cars, change lanes, etc.

the reflectors along the center line carry info for the cars as well... in Canada the input for cars is just to complain about America policy's and admin... just like in Germany and Spain

I will trust a self driving car after hundreds of early adopters have died from beta testing the systems and most of the bugs have been worked out. Thank you pioneers!

you guys are really MISSING the big picture here... cars filled with sensors and camera on a NEXTWORK that can be used by anyone to search for 'what the fuck ever' when ever, they want :)
