Question about an idea I just had
 

I'm a fan of old time radio broadcasts and that's probably because I'm old enough to have heard many of them when they were on the radio. So last night I was listening to one and I got an idea, perhaps I could produce a podcast in an OTR format but make it about smut. I cold hire a broad with a good voice and type up some sort of script. In all honesty I can't see it costing any serious coin to produce.

But is there a demand for this sort of thing and where the f'ck would I host something like this and how the hell would I monetize it?

It is funny, I'm just reading this while listening to some favorite radios, and I'm at home just researching business possibilities.

When I'm in the office it is my standard procedure to wear headphones and listening to something at least 3-4 hours daily (sharing office with 2-3 folks and it helps me to focus on my things).

When heard something interesting on radio I'm always about to google it, so idea is good to target at least 40+ audience that still remember old way to fun up a day while work. Could not stand FB thing frankly nor see myself with a selfie stick, so radio is my transparent amusement while work and YT when I want to hear some particular song.

And now days it should not be very expensive to hire one host to cover gaps between songs and read some ads as well ;). Someone could work on this as a side job recording things 2-3 hours per day and schedule all things for 24h time frame.

And get back to us in few months and let us know how it is going, I'm also interested so see outcome.

I had some of those same thoughts about 12 years ago.
Yes, there is a market. But it is a matter of finding it or them finding you for the flavor of what you are doing.
Meaning, It may not be marketable depending on the actual content.

Just to feed your fire, why not just look at existing podcasts in apple's platform.
If you can come-up with good content, it is only a matter of marketing it. And finding a method to monetize it. You can produce thousands of audio streams relatively cheap.
