If you drive a RANGE ROVER or a JAGUAR, you're driving an INDIAN car

Well, they're manufactured outside of India but TATA MOTORS owns the Range Rover and Jaguar companies

I bought a used 2004 Jaguar S-Type R in 2012 for $4,000ish. So 8 years old and it had an original MSRP of around $70,000. The depreciation on that car was unprecedented. Beautiful car though. I loved it.

But stuff like this is why I sold it....

In 2012 I had an X Type, also paid $4k for it. Great little car really.

Indian people are deep good honest loving beautiful people. If we could have the indian soul inhabit the earth and all people, the human race would advance as it should. Driving an Indian made car is good luck :thumbsup

I had an 2004 X-Type for 10 years. It was the finest and most enjoyable car I think I have ever owned. Had to rebuild the entire cooling system over those years though. Jaguars sometimes don't like Florida weather. Miss that car, traded it in on a Mercedes M350 SUV which is nice, but not Jaguar nice. I'm glad Tata of India bought them, they will keep them going properly.

It's been that way for a while now. Ford sold them off in 2008. Not exactly ground breaking news and no affect to quality of the vehicles either. In fact, Jaguar has gone from strength to strength since it was sold, it's now producing luxury sporty cars instead of American fuck ups on a British classic brand.

I loved my X-Type. It was small, six cylinders, very quiet, very smooth.

Never had a single issue with my car.
