So, China has the same problem -- terrorists in Muslim held lands.

Why isn't China more active in Syria? They have a dog in the fight -- are the Russians or the US their surrogates? Are they supplying any weapons to any party?

The muslim issue in China is quickly put down, as in like really friggin quick whenever they get uppity. It is in the north western region.
China probably does not care at all if someone leaves to go die that they never wanted in the first place.

Yup. Pretty much this ^^^

China puts down any kind of Muslim movements, even the most mild protests or request for recognition, so quickly and brutally, that they don't have any kinds of issues in China. They don't really have "a dog in this fight" because they don't see any chance of this affecting them at home, and probably laugh about Chinese born muslims moving there to fight. Less problems for China, and creating more problems for the west.
