security cam
I would like to install some security cameras around my house. I am looking for wifi connected and motion activated that would connect to a nas device, computer, or a cloud service for storing the video. Any recommendations?

Dahua is your best bet price/performance wise.

I personally love Blink and Netgear ARLO, they are my go to guys for wireless cams. If you own a business you can get the ARLO Pro Enterprise series that run on 4g and wifi so no limit to where we put ours. Totally weatherproof and 1080 HD, battery is rechargeable inside and it lasts one full year before a quick 2 hour recharge.

Bought Netgear: Arlo two weeks ago. Works very well. Love the easy control and viewing over multiple devices through the app. The motion detection works well, and alerts are immediate, on both the app and email. Infrared night vision works well too, but limited to about 15 feet.

i have foscam, it stores to NAS using FTP, its pain in the ass, to find specific day's recording.
i have hikvision, it stores on microsd card, its pain in the ass, to find specific day's recording. both are outdoor, nightvision, 720p. i hve ordered some chinese DVR shit. will see how it works out. |
I have 4 Foscam cameras in my studio. I bought them 4 years ago, every now and then one drops off the internet connection but overall they're nice little security cams.
