If Trump gets impeached, would you be happier with a PENCE presidency?

If Pence takes the throne, would Trump fans and critics alike be happier?

kane 05-16-2017 05:38 PM

Trump fans, probably not. They like his particular brand of trainwreck. His critics? I'm sure some of them would be happy and other's would not. In a way, Democrats might actually be sad. Trump has been good for business for them. Some pollsters are saying that if things continue as is the Democrats have a shot at taking back the house in 2018 and right now they are raising record amounts of money for various house and Senate races. If Trump goes away and Pence replaces him that energy may go with him.

Pence has too many skeletons in his closet, like all the guys that fucked him in college

slapass 05-16-2017 05:48 PM

Are there any Americans who still support Trump? The most die hards are ready to see him go now.

Not according to the job approval polls. Depending on which poll you read/believe his approval rating is still somewhere between 38%-45%.

Basically, the people who voted for him like him and think he is doing a good job and pretty much everyone else is shaking their head.

RyuLion 05-16-2017 06:02 PM

Some will be happier but not till they see the news the next day, there's no keeping Americans or/and spoiled people happy everyday..:2 cents: :)

It obviously didn't work for you.

pimpmaster9000 05-16-2017 06:05 PM

Impeach pence too!

sarettah 05-16-2017 06:22 PM

If Trump gets impeached it will tie up the entire Federal government for months and months. Nothing will get done. Once it is over, if convicted then Pence would take office just in time to watch the GOP lose the House and Senate in 2018 therefore guaranteeing an additional 2 years of nothing getting done.

In other words, It will be business as usual.

.

crockett 05-16-2017 08:18 PM

Pence is gone, done, out of there.. it will be President Orin Hatch, all those above him in the line of succession are caught up in the Russian probe.

Nothing is getting done right now so... business as usual.

The Electoral College was designed to protect us from a candidate like Trump FFS The Trump Taj Mahal, was hit with an $10 million civil penalty by the U.S. Treasury financial crimes unit in 2015 for ?willful and repeated violations? of anti-money laundering requirements." and Trump was awaiting trial for personal liability in a federal consumer fraud class action suit that he dragged out for 10 years and ended up settling a week before pre-trial for $25 million.

Only in a 3rd world country would someone like Trump become president after LOSING the majority vote. Total system failure

Rochard 05-16-2017 08:40 PM

My thinking on this past election was "anyone would be better than Trump". This is still what I believe.

Trump is completely unqualified. He has lived in a bubble all of his life, and doesn't have a basic understanding of how our government works on all levels. He thought that he was the President and that everyone would have to listen to him and everyone who have to do what he says. He quickly went to war with the two most powerful organizations in the world - The American intelligence community, and the American press. Either of these two can take down a US President. These are the two groups you do not piss off.

Do I think Pence would be better? Dunno. I honestly do not know enough about him. However, these investigations are huge and far reaching, and they are looking into Pence too.

crockett 05-16-2017 08:47 PM

Remember that time Obama summoned Chaffetz and Gowdy to the Oval Office and told them, "Hillary's a good woman, I hope you'll let her go, let go of this Benghazi thing"? And the Republicans all agreed that nothing was improper about that and it was well within a President's prerogative to express an opinion like that? Remember?!

stole that from Reddit, thought it was funny..

And CNN and well. I read that their ratings went up a lot during the election, although I think they are back down in recent months. Stephen Colbert is also seeing a nice uptick in ratings ever since he has gone after Trump on his show.

Paul Markham 05-17-2017 01:17 AM

Would the establishment be happier?

Trump has made the establishment mad as hell and they never expected him to win. Getting him out and replaced by Pence would be a win for them.

romeo22 05-17-2017 01:31 AM

He wont be good as a president

mce 05-17-2017 04:36 AM

The bottom line? Pence would probably pick RELIABLY CONSERVATIVE scotus justices.

Trump... he might well pick a liberal the next time around. He's the type to pick Souters if left unguided.

Busty2 05-17-2017 05:09 AM

I doubt anyone could be a bigger cluster fuck than Chump. Whoever takes over will have to undo all the shit Chump has created and that will take time!

That would be like the Jehovah's Witnesses taking over.
This whole business of corruption and malfeasance will not be resolved until Christmas ...
A good closer knows when to shut up.

We have to see what it is after this move. I have not heard anyone who thinks this was a good idea. He fucked up obviously. He pretty much proved once again that he is not fit for the job.

AndyA 05-17-2017 06:18 AM

ANYTHING... and I mean ANYTHING is better than Trump....

I would suck Romneys dick for him to be President right now

Pence is a nothing little fleeb that will try and push his anti-abortion agenda but with no real support he will spend his 2 or 3 years being ignored.. but he's not DANGEROUS

this Trump is a DANGER to our Country

bronco67 05-17-2017 06:26 AM

although Trump is making deals with the devil as well (False flag Syria bombing as per the establishments agenda), Pence is and always has been a full fledged establishment sock puppet.

I don't recall this happening.

However, the entire Benghazi issue was pure bullshit. This was a terrorist attack that had nothing to do with Clinton. We didn't see it coming, and nothing we could have done would have changed the outcome.

The email server was more of the same. It just is not illegal for the Secretary Of State to have a private email server, and to pass classified information through it. In fact, it was common at both the State Department as well as Congress. You can try to argue she mishandled classified information, but no information was leaked or hacked so that's not true, not to mention other former Secretaries Of State had done this also.

These were nothing more than political attacks.

This is a huge part of the problem. Our elected officials are putting party above country. This is wrong.

It's interesting. For example, the last few days all CNN has been talking about is the firing of Comey and now Trump telling the Russians classified information. Over on Fox, they are talking about who is leaking this information to the press and how Hillary did worse.

I've read in the last few days some polls that say upwards of 80% of people think he was wrong to fire Comey. It will be interesting to see if that has any affect on his overall approval rating.

Because Republicans and Fox news are trying to cover up Trump's crimes. The entire admin is done including Pence (Pence was involved with firing Comey and knew of the money laundering).. It's not just the Links to Russia now or the money laundering, now we can add obstruction of justice. We are talking at least 3 FBI investigations now unless they've rolled it up into one big RICO case as it's been suggested has happened..

The entire White House will have to be hosed out with a fire hose to clean the mess the Trump admin has made..

Drain the Oval Office!

I don't think either Paul or yourself have a correct view as to what the 'establishment' is. Trump hasn't done a thing to fight against it as of yet. other than filling up his cabinet with billionaires or executives from banks and oil companies, and firing every states attorney--including the ones going after big banks. is that what you meant? that can't be seen as a good thing by you can it? Or are both of you not familiar with what he is doing specifically and just speaking in vague terms?
