GOP candidate body slams reporter on the eve of the special election!

You just can't make this stuff up!:
http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2017/05/24/greg-gianforte-fox-news-team-witnesses-gop-house-candidate-body-slam-reporter.html
Even FOXNews is actually telling the truth about it!

Bladewire 05-24-2017 10:02 PM

Holy shit! And then he lied about it saying the reporter did it what a loser! Typical Republican taking no responsibility for his actions, lucky it was recorded wtf!

Paul Markham 05-24-2017 10:25 PM

Time to lawyer up and sue the bastard.

TCLGirls 05-24-2017 10:26 PM

70% already voting .....

won't change much, just put another felon in the administration, draining the swamp ....

beerptrol 05-25-2017 06:09 AM

And there was a fox news team there that witnessed it

"Gianforte grabbed Jacobs by the neck with both hands and slammed him into the ground behind him. Faith, Keith and I watched in disbelief as Gianforte then began punching the reporter. As Gianforte moved on top of Jacobs, he began yelling something to the effect of, "I'm sick and tired of this!"

Busty2 05-25-2017 06:11 AM

They played the recording on CNN last night the guy ( Gianforte ) seemed unhinged

Gianforte is a redhat Trump disciple. Of course he is unhinged.

I am loving this - who cares what side you're on you've got to love this crazy shit! I call he still wins but barely -

Listening to the response of some of his fellow republicans in congress and factoring in the state of mind of the redhats.... I don't think it's over if he wins

This guy cannot continue in politics. The moment he runs for something they will just pull the audio tape I just listened to.

There are a lot of people out there that are so partisan they will forgive just about anything. In 2008 Alaska Senator Ted Stevens had been tried and convicted of felony charges and was going to be sent to jail. He was still on the ballot for the election and nearly won. About 46% of the voters in Alaska voted for him, basically saying that they would rather have a Republican felon who was on his way to jail represent them than a Democrat. Pretty crazy.

ReggieDurango 05-25-2017 01:58 PM

Can't find any data on how the election is going for him today! Anyone else? Is he in jail?!

Probably still a few hours from the polls closing. He wouldn't be in jail today. He was just charged so he would have to either cut a plea or stand trial. Any legal punishment for him is likely months away. I have a feeling the reporter will sue him as well.

directfiesta 05-25-2017 03:17 PM

Top Notch Guy ... real standup :

Through the Gianforte Family Foundation, Gianforte has been an active supporter of Young Earth creationism, a belief that the earth is less than 10,000 years old. He gave over $1 million to the Glendive Dinosaur & Fossil Museum in Montana, a facility that teaches visitors that evolution is false.
:thumbsup

bronco67 05-25-2017 03:20 PM

Just your average, everyday dickhead Republican. Then he does the usual conservative behavior that we see around here a lot...say the liberals are violent and started it.

A common tactic among conservative scumbags.

Is this real? I mean seriously this shit writes itself

Robbie 05-25-2017 05:34 PM

That old guy in Montana must be really, really strong to "bodyslam" a full grown man.

Big pro-wrestlers do body slams because their "opponent" jumps in the air when he "lifts" them.

Don't know how an old man from Montana was able to scoop up a young full grown man, lift him in the air above his head, and then "bodyslam" him to the ground.

Oh wait...it wasn't a bodyslam? More like a sissy-push?

Lamest "fight" ever. lol

bronco67 05-25-2017 07:27 PM

Of course, Robbie's here to defend the asshole.

He's a big guy...and the reporter is a little guy. And maybe you have this idea in your head that old guys have no strength because your body is going downhill fast, but there's plenty of old dudes who can body slam a young guy.

Robbie 05-25-2017 09:12 PM

Heh-heh CNN is reporting this:
"A teetering red state counts the votes"
"GOP candidate Gianforte has a slim lead in Montana's special election"

Those are the headlines.

Underneath it shows the current vote...the old Republican guy is winning 50% to 43%
LOL!

CNN has really, really got to stop with the biased unrealistic headlines.

My understanding is that it wasn't really a bodyslam in the vein of a wrestling move it was more like he grabbed the guy by the neck and threw him to the ground.

ReggieDurango 05-25-2017 09:56 PM

Probably helped him win the seat 😮

hottoddy 05-25-2017 10:08 PM

Despite the liberal wet dreams over this exaggeration, they were soundly trounced again. I think they're now 0/4 since the new administration.

Republicans have their base of country folk. Democrats have their base of ethnicity. And neither is looking out for the improvement of their people.

the hill people believe that the wealthy republicans are looking out for them plus they believe what they are told like good sheeple

It would be nice to see the congress get their shit together and enact these laws and changes they want to do. That way the sheeple can reap the hurt and misery they got coming to them

There was never any doubt the guy would win. The only people shocked are the ones who watch CNN.

They were "reporting" about this guy for the last 3 days non-stop and proclaiming what a "close" election this was and how it was a mandate on Trump, etc, etc.

Reminded me of their coverage of the Presidential election when their faces turned ashen and they realized that the fantasy they were crafting was dead wrong.

And in my opinion...it's not that the Republicans can talk to the "hill" people very well.
It's that Democrats talk DOWN to hard working people like you just did when you called them "hill people" as if somehow you are better than they are and much smarter.

That's the problem with the Democrats. They don't stand for anything that matters to a normal hard-working person with a family and a mortgage.
Not saying that as human beings the Dem politicians don't have any empathy for the working man.

I'm saying that the Democrats have built a brand over the last couple of decades that represents what they mean to the country.

When a working person hears the word "Democrat"...they used to think "champion of the working man and woman"

But now? The word "Democrat" conjures up: Soft, climate extremism, extreme feminism, special interest groups, transgender bathrooms, welfare state, food stamps...

You see what I'm saying?
The Democrat Party is ALWAYS talking about those special interest niche subjects and never about jobs and the economy.

This clown in Montana didn't "Win" the election. The Democrats LOST it. Just like they have lost power across the county in local govt. , state govt. and national govt.

They are too leftist and too pussified.
They need to get back to being the party of the working man again.

I had hoped that they were going to do that after Trump shocked them.
And for a couple of days there were Democrats appearing on the news shows discussing that and acknowledging that they had lost their way and needed to get back to their roots.

Then...they did a 180 and have spent every waking moment since then trying to stop Trump from his agenda that the working men and women elected him to do.

I said it before...the Dems should have opened their arms to Trump.
The Republicans hate him because at heart he is a liberal. (remember the hatred for him from EVERY Republican leader during the election?)

The Dems could have worked with Trump and he would have went their way on a ton of issues. But they are still in denial unfortunately.

I think they missed an opportunity.

Right now CNN is concocting another fantasy: That the 2018 election is going to go Democrat. And they are pushing toward that goal.
That's why almost all of their coverage of Trump is negative.
They have an agenda.

I don't think it's going to work.
Why?
Because the Dems haven't learned the lesson yet.

It may take more loss for the Democrat Party to wise up and change their image and start working for the actual tax-paying working citizens of this country instead of freeloaders and illegal immigrants.

The elections that have been held so far were all seats where the Republican was heavily favored and the Democrats were hoping for a miracle that never came. However, those races were a lot closer than many people thought they would be. To me, there is an election coming up in Georgia on June 20 that may be more telling. It is in a district that hasn't elected a Democrat in decades, yet the polls show the Democrat with a slight lead. If that seat ends up going Democrat or it is very close, that could be a bad sign of things to come for Republicans.

I don't think that any of these local elections are signs of anything except what the candidates themselves represent.

If the Democrat comes out in Georgia talking about problems that matter to working men and women...then they have a shot.
If the Democrat ignores all of that and concentrates on negative campaigning and taxing people more...then they will lose.

In my opinion, this is all for the Democrats to win, or lose. The Republicans aren't having to do anything to win.
But the Dems have certainly been saying and doing plenty over the last 8 years to lose.

The Democrat Party needs to turn that ship around.

The Democrats are in a place where they can turn themselves around and make some serious gains in the process. They have a POTUS that is extremely unpopular among Democrats and Republicans that seem to be in a bit of chaos and ramming through shitty legislature just to say they have done it. Like you say, if the Democrats focus on working middle-class people and they explain to them how they can help, they can do well. The problem is they haven't seemed to learn and are still allowing themselves to be pulled into a culture war that makes them look like they care more about where someone pees than if someone can get a job.
