What you may want to consider is also some ad management on your sites. If done right, it's an easy and steady extra revenue.

Hit me up if you want to hear more about an under the counter solution that's online since 2010. CPC only, where the ads actually have to deliver, and the better they deliver the higher the payout. And where you get a direct share out of every click and what was bid on it.

I'm not so pessimistic)) I worked in the biz since 2004 and have seen trends come and go. I heard "Adult biz is dead" back in... like 2009-2010 (I might be mistaken)
I do agree that it was way easier to make money back in 2005-2006
I haven't been paying attention for a while but I guess it's still thriving if you know what you do and do it well
