VR players
 

We are in the process of shooting VR content and are building our first VR site. What are the best VR players out there to lease. We wanted to use the JW player for VR but they told us through email they do not support adult sites. Its funny they said we could lease their player but will not support us if we need help.

The most commonly used player in adult for VR seems to be delightvr. We implemented it recently into our tube script.

Their pricing seems wild to us. The free player up to 100K views? Could that be true?

Yes it is true. However...remember that jwplayer used to take adult and now they don't. I have no idea what delight vr's business plan is. When they came out they were 100% free and then the pricing of 100K views happened. Hopefully there will be more solutions as time goes on. You can also purchase the krpano player and then you will own it.

Yeah they do up to 100k views free. Here's the thing - right now there's no other good solution. I did some research into the topic since we wanted to add that VR support - there's no good open source solution. I didn't like krpano, had problems setting it up properly + it's not really VR it's more of a 360 degree player.

What about Google's open source VR player?

JW Player allows adult and says they don't. If you need support don't use an adult domain or content for reference, common sense right 😉

Might be a viable solution once it's more widely supported

You should definitively give your users a link to VR video player with Youtube 360 playback player which is the best to playback stuff. For webvr it's probably delight, but their prices are crazy.
