I'm betting he was bragging about his assault rifle and his pistol and that he was on some trip with it, then publicly stated he was staying at Trump Hotel on that night in DC where there are very strict gun laws..

Some other asshole from facebook was probably tired of his type posting shit and did an anonymous call to the tip line.. :1orglaugh

I'll bet you anything this is what happened.. This is why you don't brag to the world about all your dumb guns and then where you are staying with them that night, specially if you aren't licensed to be carrying them in that state/city..

The morale of the story= The guy is a big asshole on Facebook, brags about dumb shit, someone notices he's breaking the law and turns him in.. Now he's a dumb asshole in a jail cell..

I mean really, 90 rounds in an assault rifle isn't much TBH, it's 3 mags.. If he was gonna carry out some attack I think he'd have more than that, specially considering how easy it is just to tape two mags together making 120 rounds almost as easy to carry as 90..

Most likely he's a gun nutter that thinks he needs to have his guns at all time for self protection...
