In Russia you may get your ass busted if you talk against religion, just like that. They might feel offended if you claim otherwise or laugh at their night stands to get the eggs sprinkled by a 'holy' water.

Dude, generally speaking, I recently found out the Catholics believe the eggs game is taken by a rabbit / bunny, I LOLd, like a rabbit hides all the eggs at night. Kids love the game tho collecting the chocolate eggs in the morning.

Easter was created to combine paganism & Christianity during the Saxon wars bringing people together from both sides, same with Christmas.

Orthodox is weird though, I lived in Australia for a few years and in Australia Easter is at a different time of year than America because it's orthodox, and they don't have the Easter bunny, they have the Easter Bilby and he lays one big chocolate egg or a big chocolate bilby. Rarely an Easter egg hunt depending on where you live.

Why disrespect other's religious beliefs in the first place??

Because it's a joke in the first place. Religious feelings, being black, jewish, gay became some sort of 1st class excuse to anything they think is offensive.
