Apple logo

Just curious, what's so special about apple's logo. In some movies they show macbooks, some movies they stick something on it or simply blur.. wtf? Is it the law in the US of some sort so showing a logo in the commercial movie is considered payable? What about other logos, what the fuck at all?

I've heard everything from Apple pays, to the opposite, you have to pay to use the apple logo in your movie. Be interesting to know the real story.

Product placement is very big business world wide. Aston Martin do fantastic business thanks to the James Bond arrangement. I talk to the manager of the main UK showroom in London, he said his business increases 15-25% during the release of each new James Bond Movie.

Trademark. Can't use without permission.

Other products/companies pay money to get displayed in movies, etc. Big business.

?Apple won?t pay to have their products featured, but they are more than willing to hand out an endless amount of computers, iPads, and iPhones,?:2 cents:

Blurred logos are generally there when the production company or network has paying advertisers and the logos in the production are getting free eyes.

You don't have to legally ask for permission to use any logo or product, so long as you're using it the way it's used "in real life".

Apple loves to have their logo and products in view. They are known to pay and/or provide products to use.
