I was just thinking, the idiots brainlessly following and believing anything mainstream media tells them are missing some vital parts in their minds: They miss a good dose of skepticism, criticism and the ability to think for themselves.

CNN today did NOT deny the story and instead put out a statement that they "stand by" their producer John Bonifield.

CNN has not been reporting the news for a long time. They don't bother spending hardly any time at all on actual important news stories and instead spend the vast majority of their air time attacking Trump over and over and over. The other night Anderson Cooper "reported" that an "unnamed source" said that Trump vents about the reporting on CNN over Russia at least "3 times a day".

I watched a discussion on this. The story that was retracted for instance....3 reporters in the byline of the story. ONE unnamed source.

A 3 to 1 ratio of reporters looking for glory and only 1 unvetted, unnamed, and false source.

That is NOT how journalists are taught in journalism school. This is NOT what the great television reporters of the past would do.

I turned on CNN this morning and watched an embarrassing 10 minutes of Chris Cuomo and 3 other reporters saying that this is Trump "intensifying his attack on the media"!!!

They report falsehoods over and over. And then when they get called out on it...they claim it's Trump's fault! lol
They spent the next 10 minutes congratulating each other on being great "journalists" and said that Trump was being "disrespectful" to all "journalists" and especially the ones who had "died for the cause"

I just shook my head.

I turned over to Fox News which is always accused of bias. They were reporting on the huge wildfires all over the Southwest.
If you were watching CNN you wouldn't have even known that was happening.

CNN doesn't report any of the news anymore. They ONLY report negatively on Trump.

On my iphone if you don't have one, there is a news feed app where you can just select a ton of news sources and get the headlines from all of them. I just indiscriminately selected a lot of them. CNN, Fox, CBS, Bloomberg, MSNBC or whatever.

It only took a couple days to see a horrible pattern with respect to news during the primaries. 90% of headlines were "Trump bad" and 10% "Hillary Good" and nearly always zero "Hillary Bad" - even with 3 concurrent federal investigations. It was clear right away that they were pandering to the fringe for views/clicks etc.

It was very depressing to see the media go silent on criticism with Obama for 8 years to fully imploding into national enquirer like "news". The media was always a vital part of the checks and balances of the system and now is little more than an online circle jerk of click bait headlines.
