Imperial California has a lower property crime rate -- no one wants to steal sand

I used to live in Huntington Beach for a long time. However, it looks like that city didn't make the list. It was really nice when I lived there though. Irvine is also very nice, which made the list and is not far from Huntington Beach. And of course, Palos Verdes Estates is super nice!

Ha! I live 20 miles away from #13 Irvine!

Too big..... I like quiet small town. Even 45k people is a bit too big for me.

But you betrayed your homeland - NJ. Bad values, imho, one should respect, love and live in his/her homeland.

Of course I tolerate different opinion, but politely stating mine as well :)

I'm moving in twenty days. I looked up my section of town (Acoaxet, Ah-cox-it) and I'm pleasantly surprised. Right now I'm in a city that's 66% Portuguese with 7,000 Cape Verdeans. In a city of 100,000 that's what, 7%? I speak a few words of Portuguese and one of Creole, the Cape Verdean (Cabo Verde) language. I've got the "no speaka Portuguese " down pat.

When I move, I'd bet I'm one of thirty or less Jews. You'd think a wealthy area would be full of Jews!

I used to go there in the summer as my parents had a permit. There are two fenced, guarded posts to get through. Break through one but the next gets you. I thought it was snobby growing up, and still do, but there are lots of gated communities in Mattapoisett, Marion and Dartmouth.

Crime is rarely an issue. They keep out outsiders and the police are active. But -- if you get there by boat to a private dock, you probably could cause crime, though there must be 24/7 spotters watching. I'll ask about that as you now made me curious. :)

"Currency city: Approximately 18 percent of foreign- born residents entered the United States during the 1990s. Over half of the residents are of Portuguese decent. Over 7,000 Cape Verdean residents make up the second largest ethnic group.

Westport Point / Acoaxet median real estate price is $538,613, which is more expensive than 77.7% of the neighborhoods in Massachusetts and 89.1% of the neighborhoods in the U.S.

The average rental price in Westport Point / Acoaxet is currently $2,114, based on NeighborhoodScout's exclusive analysis. The average rental cost in this neighborhood is higher than 78.1% of the neighborhoods in Massachusetts.

Westport Point / Acoaxet is a rural neighborhood (based on population density) located in Westport, Massachusetts. This is a coastal neighborhood (i.e., is on the ocean, a bay, or inlet).

One of the notable things about Westport Point / Acoaxet is that it is one of the quietest neighborhoods in America, according to NeighborhoodScout's exclusive analysis and quantitative rating of quietness.

(Uh, how is that determined?)

In a nation where 1 out of every 4 children lives in poverty, the Westport Point / Acoaxet neighborhood stands out as being ranked among the lowest 0.0% of neighborhoods affected by this global problem.

The neighbors in the Westport Point / Acoaxet neighborhood in Westport are wealthy, making it among the 15% highest income neighborhoods in America. NeighborhoodScout's exclusive analysis reveals that this neighborhood has a higher income than 93.6% of the neighborhoods in America.

( . Beverly Hills and other California cities, any neighborhood in Southampton NY, communities in Michigan, etc make up 6.4% of higher income residents? Seems a little fishy to me
)

I wonder if non-reported crime is factored in. Not all report small crimes. I know, I'm overthinking this, but stats like this interest me.
