Which Software Can I Use?
I'm trying to populate an old blog with about 1,000 posts. I got WP-Import to do most of the work. I have ten files in Notepad and was slowly breaking down each file. But, I can't save them as .txt. So I bought a Windows laptop that doubles as a tablet. ($20/month)
Now I need a program for Windows that allows me to save files as .txt. My amnesia won't let me remember what I used to use. I know I didn't use Word, that much I remember. I need .txt files so I can zip them and import them as drafts. Please throw out suggestions for free programs I can use. Preferably a program that lets me save each file where I want but that's not vital. I know in Windows I can move files. |

I'm using Notepad an iPad. Can't sit up in bed too long to use my laptop. I haven't found an app nor can you save where you want. Sucks when you have to ftp.

so you have 1,000 files with out a .txt extention?

Can you just rename in windows after the download?
Use DOS "rename" function? Or turn off "hide extension" property, so you can rename? |

I'd like a program that saves as txt |
Notepad on ipad is one program.
Notepad (included free inside Windows) is a different program. They share the same name and are both text editors but that's all, no other direct similarities. Notepad on Windows saves files as .txt as default. |
In Windows 10. I change the file type to "all files" and I can rename to whatever file type I want. With whatever extension I want.
