HOW and WHY Theporndude.com uses YOUR site to cover his Black SEO tactics
Google is the police.
Theporndude is the criminal. You are the person who unawarely let the crime stay unpunished. I will use a metaphor to better explain you the situation... Theporndude committed a crime and feels the pressure of the authorities, since he still has the crime weapon. One days he knocks your door, and asks you to keep a bag for money. You accept, since you think it's just a regular bag (basing your opinion on it's Google ranking). One day, you read on a forum that you should check the loyalty of your partners, or you risk to pay yourself for something they've done. You, who never checked the content of the bag, decide to open it, finding the crime weapon and finding yourself as a complicit to the crime. Meanwhile, Theporndude, who is feeling safe, is already knocking to the next door. Aside from this metaphor, Theporndude actually did commit a "crime" (for the Google guidelines of course, not an actual crime). He actually got too many "commercial anchor text", and now that he has a dirty conscience, he fears them to look unnatural to Google eyes. What is the crime he committed? Imagine a site with 100K backlinks, and 50K of these are using the same anchor text "best porn sites". Google won't think that half of the total links sharing the same anchor text looks natural at all. Google thinks that these links have been obtained artificially, by paying for them, or though some exchange, then the sites deserves a penalization. The easiest way to building "noText" anchors is through images or you can simply “forget” to include an anchor within an article, which will have a similar effect.” What are the issues? - Theporndude took care of giving you the code to insert on your site, so that he could avoid to explicitly asks to omit the alt text, something you might have asked the reason for. So the problem is your partner's loyalty. - You're keeping on each page of your site a link built to cover black seo tactics for another site. Why should you risk to get a manual penalization and lose your work, due to another guy's shady tactics you don't get any benefit from? - Each page of your site is hosting an image with no alt text, and often this image is the first one on the site. Aside the fact it may impact your site indexing, still theporndude did not warn you that using his code you was adding on each page of your site an image missing an important tag for Google. “Every image must have an alt attribute. Considering his recent penalization and his general behavior, he may not be considered as a good partner. Surely not somebody you can trust when it comes to setting up a deal or asking SEO advice. Alternatively - remove the image before the link and set up a branded anchor text (if the link is not in the main menu) - remove the image before the link (if the link is in the main menu) IMPORTANT!!! Seems like TPD almost fully recovered and TPS's traffic is decreasing... I don't deal with TPD so I don't care at all. TPD might be an asshole but I doubt you are anything better, I know some of your sites and domains and you tend to copy/steal peoples work/ideas and parasite on known and successful porn site names (by registering their domain names in various extensions) quite too much.
