Call your hosting and have it resolved |
unfortunately my server isn't managed and I used to have someone to managed but not anymore.

Keeping the server up, and managing it are 2 different things. They have to boot it. This is not what managed does...

Instructions for a LINUX server ONLY If you know how to access in SSH (or putty) Login to your web based server interface or dashboard. You can access the reboot interface there? Yes proceed to step 2. SSH into the server, get root user type $shutdown -h now enter the command server should shutdown immediately Return to the web interface then refresh in 15 seconds and the server status should be down/off reboot the server from the web interface. Restart your SSH check the server a bit after it is restarted. If this fails you may have a hardware problem -- contact the host to get it resolved. |
