Finally someone says it like I do... Republicans have lost their minds
Once-sober Republican Party has given itself over to rage, fear, schoolyard taunts, and bizarre conspiracy theories. | Miami Herald
This guy is spot on and what I've been saying for a few years now. The country didn't become divided due to loss of center. The country has become divided because the Republican party has gone bat shit crazy.. |
LOL...
They lost me back in the 90's Since they hung G.H.W. Bush out to dry, I knew the neo-capitalist were in control and that has only got stronger since then. I am hard pressed to find objectives in legislation they have fought for and won that have not had extreme bad effects for the public at large. The worst part is, they have been able to blame it all on the liberals since then, (not that they don't have some of their own faults) and the spin doctors make money for it. Just a spectator in the fishbowl as I wait on the hand the feeds me to spank me for no reason outside of the interest of the power of money to make more of the same at my expense. I hardly blame a party anymore. It really comes from the public's lazy nature to be out-of-tune with their government, and the neo-capitalist's ability to take advantage of that fact though those that are suppose to represent our interests. The easiest thing to show that in play is the repeal of the Glass-Stagall Act in 1999 while everyone only cared about Monica and those in the know were telling us what this meant for the banks, they were able to do it without a blink. 8 years to near implosion of the world economy. And they blamed it all on the liberals/Democrats. I see many more paying attention once again.... perhaps there is hope for us if that trend continues. |

By that I mean, we have to take care of the people in this country but we have to be fiscally responsible about it. We have to have things like health care and education but we shouldn't be spending so much we have to borrow from other countries. Healthcare & education are investments for our future. Both are socially responsible are also fiscally responsible at the same time. It's just basic common sense. Educated people create a stronger economy & country while healthy people cost less in the long run.. |

I knew exactly what you meant. I hear that quite often from folks all around the country in very different walks of life. I would guess to say that you are in the majority. Problem with that is, many muddy/skew the facts to splinter that common ideology so you never have a clear voting majority. |
