Should I Be Watching Game Of Thrones?

Worth it?

kane 07-11-2017 10:22 PM

It's fantastic.

EonBlue 07-11-2017 11:28 PM

Best production ever made for television. :2 cents:

.

CurrentlySober 07-12-2017 12:52 AM

Very good. But watch it from the very start, Invest in it, its worth it. Dont just start from the new series as it wont make sense :)

BAKO 07-12-2017 01:30 AM

Best show ever :-)

Agreed. If you don't start from the beginning you won't know what the hell is going on.

wehateporn 07-12-2017 02:26 AM

Everyone I know who's watched it loves it, my father tried to resist, took a couple of years, then he gave in, binged on the whole thing within a couple of weeks, got withdrawal symptoms when it ended.

They keep telling me I should watch it too

PornoStar69 07-12-2017 03:16 AM

Game Of Thrones Season 5 Episode 8 HardHome - bad ass episode that one - proper shit you up.

Game Of Thrones Season 6 Episode 5 - another bad ass episode. (HOLD THE DOOR)

The very last season every episode will be a movie.

yuu.design 07-12-2017 05:47 AM

another thing in my to-do list

BlackCrayon 07-12-2017 06:15 AM

what if you're not into mythological stuff..is it still worth it?

CaptainHowdy 07-12-2017 07:59 AM

I'd stay away from myths as much as possible :2 cents: ...

Keep in mind the first season is just setting the table for the entire series. So while there is some cool stuff that happens, and a couple of OMG moments near the end -- it's not super action packed or anything. But it gets progressively better each season until it's just batshit insane with tons of great writing, great acting and some jaw dropping visuals that you can't believe are made for TV.

if there's any show that's worth investing some time in, I would say Game of Thrones.

yeah, its not really dungeons and dragons and shit. There is a bit of mythical stuff going on obviously but it is more character driven instead. Too many good strong characters to list even.

I avoided it at first too, didn't like the first few episodes at all but it really shows you something and just gets better.

Google Expert 07-12-2017 08:43 AM

Don't start watching it until they finished filming it all.

I think there should be 8 seasons total. Wait until all 8 are available, otherwise you're gonna get blue-balled waiting 1.5 years for the series to finish. And each episode is a fucking cliffhanger.

Watch Vikings while you wait. You can stop at Season 4.

just a punk 07-12-2017 08:50 AM

Yes, like the tittle says it's much about court intrigues, conspiracies and assassinations. Plus good battle scenes, sex and blood. Hey, they even don't shy to show people's genitals for a reason and without. Don't forget it's not a Brazzers video, it's a family TV show...

phpPinoyprogrammer 07-12-2017 08:57 AM

Go ahead and watch it, worth the time. :2 cents:

babeterminal 07-12-2017 08:59 AM

who would of thought all along he was saying "hold the door"

its a great show for spotting english pornstars the best one i saw was Masie Dee, when joffery ordered the other prostitute to cain her but with the big mace

Ross 07-12-2017 09:23 AM

I remember the first time I attempted to watch it, I made it two episodes and binned it, it was too slow for me. To this day I am still not quite sure what I was thinking. Second time around my wife and I couldn't stop watching. We started watching when there was 3 full seasons and I think we caught up in about 2 weeks. One of the best shows I ever watched.

boziffous 07-12-2017 09:43 AM

Yes, I would highly recommend watching Game of Thrones. I enjoyed the show so much that I decided to read the books as well, and I'm not a reader.

PornoStar69 07-12-2017 11:24 AM

Bet you fu*kers can't wait for Game Of Thrones Season 7.

Nice 1080p HD copy will do me fine on Monday morning.

Those white walkers scare the sh*t out of me.

Yes this is what I am thinking of doing. :) Then I can fast forward through all the rape and prostitute caining scenes (I'm squeamish about that kind of stuff).

C H R I S 07-12-2017 12:44 PM

Probably the best show ever produced.

You need an attention span and a brain to watch though, most GFY'ers don't

Miguel T 07-12-2017 12:46 PM

Best thing ever!

RyuLion 07-12-2017 02:47 PM

Hmmmmmmmmm..

Tim 07-12-2017 03:26 PM

Normally I wouldn't watch this kind of thing. However, I was convinced to try and watched it all and am looking forward to the upcoming series.

I'd agree it'd make much more sense if you watched the previous series in advance.

Axeman 07-12-2017 03:37 PM

Amazing show. But you will need to watch when you got an hour or more completely free of distractions. There is a lot going on, and you will get lost if trying to watch with distractions.

There isn't that much of it, actually. I think it was used in a couple of episodes for shock value.

Most of the series is power games between various characters and war (fighting).

I made the mistake of having started to watch The Walking Dead and Games of Throne before they had finished filming.

From now on i just watch finished shows, without having to wait years between episodes.

newxxx 07-12-2017 04:19 PM

Where are my dragons!?

Yeah I got into The Walking Dead just over a year ago so had to do a marathon to catch up. While I still like the show (and think Maggie is insanely hot) it creeps me the fuck out. LOL I can only take so much tension. It's the violence towards other people that turns me off. I like killing zombies!

But if Game Of Thrones is more like Lord Of The Rings in terms of fighting and killing then I'm fine with that. :thumbsup

I resisted for a long time and basically watched all the seasons like insane binge within weeks. Like that cause then everything is still fresh in your head instead of being years old. Should have paced it slower I guess as now been waiting a long time for new ones.

nico-t 07-13-2017 05:25 AM

what if you don't like movies taking place in that time period? Does anyone who watches it (and likes it) has the same, that movies taking place in medieval times just don't interest you and just never entertain you? That's why i always avoid them now.
And once i heard about that dragon stuff it put me off even more.

SashaRed 07-13-2017 07:00 AM

everything :1orglaugh i can't stand fantasy movies, been that way pretty much always. Knowing that though i still tried to watch lord of the rings, due to who directed it mainly and the huge, huge hype around it at the time. I thought "even i gotta enjoy it at least a little bit".

Lets just say it was a great reminder that i don't enjoy that genre at all.

newxxx 07-13-2017 08:10 AM

GoT is more about medieval-like realms than pure fantasy like LoTR

OK so The Hobbit for you then. Got it. :)
