Having to pay parking to go to work to help & be paid lower than average wages for the hours they put in!

If you want to protest about something. Protest about the £50 billion and it will cost more, to build a railway that will get people to a place 30 minutes faster. A place few want to go to.

Then to run it it will costs money to run. To the tune of 5p per passenger mile.

All for the sake of 30 minutes.

fuck off Paul! Some doctors have call outs, they leave & come back 3 or 4 maybe 5 times a day & need to buy tickets for each of them!


Yes Smack Dat, they should have free parking to go to work, when the parking is for the hospitals! It´s privatised, it´s sick they do not have free parking!

Some of these doctors & nurses are having to sell their homes, yet, the parking people will want their mums and fathers looked after in hospital by those doctors & nurses...

Exactly, there should be free parking for all doctors who have to go somewhere during their work day. Not for doctors who are going to and from work.

However, doctors and nurses are underpaid and need a huge pay rise. Along with a few other essential services. Where does the money come from? You have a few options, higher NI charges, higher taxes overall, or more borrowing. This happened under the EU. It's the negative effect of allowing millions into the country who offer no benefit. To look nice and to keep down the wages. Plus Globalisation and Automation.

If I was a doctor, I'd sign myself as disabled, get a blue badge and park wherever I wanted for free. Anyone questions me n I'd say check with my Doctor!

Germany doctors dont have such problems.

Yes, doctors and nurses should get a pay rise. But this is a non-issue. Probably 1 or 2 hospitals in city centres with no parking spaces.

Parking is highly limited in almost all hospitals and yes its disgusting that anyone should have to pay to park where they work but you'll find that most doctors have their own spaces or even their own car park. it's (as usual) the lower paid that get hit.

Exactly. The law is about whatever trade you do, they can't have one law for the doctors, one for the nurse and one for everyone else. So they decide according to the law.

It's up to the hospital to provide free parking, or not. With hospitals in cities, it's ludicrous that money should go to parking facilities for people to travel to and from work and not on the patients.

The hospital pays for a parking pass for all the nurses and doctors, so it doesn't spend money on a few dialysis machines. :upsidedow
