Trump ends covert CIA program to arm anti-Assad rebels in Syria, a move sought by Moscow

Just a moment...

directfiesta 07-19-2017 03:55 PM

well, this is a good move from Trump . No reason to spend training fighters that eventually become ISIS.

Bladewire 07-19-2017 04:05 PM

This makes the dictator Assad, and the dictator Putin, very happy.

As long as they are both good people then it would be fine for them to be dictators, if that were the case

Problem with US style democracy is lobbying i.e. Bribery, everyone getting paid off by big business, I would prefer a Putin or Assad in charge anyday compared to a corporatocracy acting as only a pychopath would

onwebcam 07-19-2017 04:09 PM

Since when was this a secret?

McCain is probably rolling over in his hospital bed right now.

That's the spin the Trump admin put on it to make the CIA seem evil. You must have missed that right wing memo.

Trump is against the DOJ, FBI, NSA, CIA & the media, remember that. He doesn't trust them.

More like the media spin. They can't really come out and say they knew about it when they've denied it all these years.

Rochard 07-19-2017 04:29 PM

lol. I love this.

Be warned though. The last time this happened CIA operatives blew up the Twin Towers.

The media, who's been reporting on the CIA arming the rebels, for years, is now spinning their own story, to be the same it's been, for years? You really have to pretzel your mind to believe that 360 degree bullshit :1orglaugh

You should Google things before you post, it would make you "seem" less ignorant of reality.

Here's a story from 2013 (4 years ago)

CIA begins weapons delivery to Syrian rebels | Washington Post

The spin is from TRUMP, the media's story has been the same for 4 years.

Stupid it is you))

If you think the cross-currents of the U.S. presidential election constitute societal madness and national decline, revelations about actual fighting between the CIA and the Pentagon through their proxies in war-torn Syria raise more concern about U.S. foreign policy, enough at least to rate comparison with Donald Trump?s suggestions that the NATO alliance is obsolete or nuclear proliferation should be considered by allies such as the Japanese and South Koreans.

What did Putin trade-off in return?
Art of the Deal?
Trump may funnel aid to the rebels using the Israelis and Saudis as conduits.

Is t it funny how everything Trump does with foreign policy seems to benifit Russia. Trump tru,y is Putin's pet.

Paul Markham 07-19-2017 09:36 PM

Great move. There shouldn't be US involvement in Syria, or anywhere else, to change the government of another country. It seems America won't learn the lesson.

druid66 07-19-2017 10:46 PM

that will be first time for many years since US actually stopped training people who in future would turn against US am i correct? seems like a good move from President Trump.

So the millions who have fled Assad's Syria, will now be welcomed into the USA?

Or is the Trump ok with him just slaughtering them by the thousands, Christian's first of course.

500,000+ killed by Assad, And ISIS 5,000+

Dash maybe media manipulators just like the American president, but they are hardly the issue in the scale of things.

The West can't solve all the worlds problems, in fact, they make it worse. So just leave the Third World to solve its own problems, or not.

Assad is the best solution for Syria, haven't you learned that yet?

Assad is certainly not the solution, even Russia has made that clear, see how willing Assad is to stand down soon and then see what's Puttys response is.

Believe me, there was far more shenanigans in the DNC primary that screwed over Bernie Sanders than there ever could be in Russia or Syria.

You are correct. In the last election Assad won with a 88% majority.

Makes you wonder why there is a civil war there.

I agree with Paul on this. The United States cannot fix all of the worlds problems. Syria is under the Russian sphere of influence, and is a Russian problem. The United States should not be involved in this at all.

How Sanders and America were shafted to put Clinton into the WH is a scandal. Some Americans think it was a good thing.

Pity they don't have the balls to break the system.
