facebook page with close to 100k followers, how to monetize
 

doing a favor for a neighbor, it's a facebook page with poetry texts she writes on images & posts. I'm looking for ways to monetize it for her. Any ideas?

I thought sell products with her texts on it. I don't know much about facebook, so can you monetize with less effort like on Youtube, where you get paid for the ads they show?

followers are women, housewives, moms.

How old is the account and when did she reach 100k? Commercializing can turn off a lot of followers if done too soon and lacking enough subtlety.

it's 3 years old and she's almost at 100k, it has been growing steadily since the start. No traffic spikes or whatever just natural growth of all real people who all like what she posts.

Must be helluva good poetry to climb to 100k in 3 years.

Kudos to her. Hope ya's can find a way to monetize it somehow. Agreed with what was said above about trying to commercialize it too quickly, though. Has to be subtle and not in-their-face too much.

Wow! Thats a beautiful account man! I personally suggest teespring, i know its old but the model still works. Start with any of her work that have a huge amount of likes and try to translate the essence of that into tshirt form. Then from there perhaps she can branch out to other products/offers.

PS: Please keep us in mind in the event that her project takes off. Remember to tell her to value her followers above profit. Profit is a natural consequence of a genuinely loved brand, that being her.

Sell books of her poetry from the site. Sher has 100k followers.

Self publish physical books of the poems. There's a built in audience and even if only a fraction of them convert into buyers, at the very least it will pay for the printing and distribution costs, so it's worth a gamble.

she can sell t-shirts with her best quote printed on them, of course it will require a small investement at the beginning, but if she want she can simply start a website and link it to her page and of course monetise the website

ha, yea at first i was just thinking 'as little effort as possible' so i wasn't thinking about things like that, but for facebook it looks like this is the best option.
