Wordpress , php and sql are not user services, they are server services. And internet explorer did not had monopoly as flash had it.

Not exactly true : There is Flash Media Server.

Flash Media Server used to be the only cross platform way you could stream video.
That's why youtube used it.
Then lighttpd became the rage.
Then encoding mp4 video with the "moov atom" at the front took over with h.264.

If there were anything really great available other than flash then webcam sites would have
switched a long time ago.

HTML5 is difficult when it comes to complex uses.

You need to disable the Flash plugin on your PC and go to some of the popular cams sites -- many are already using HLS with sound -- a Flash plugin not found rolls over to HLS. Chaturbate, Streamate, Jasmin and XloveCam (others) are doing this now -- welcome to today ;=)

Android, Mac, iOs ...

Flash media server will be discontinued for the broadcasters also in time.
FMS is being used for transcoding HSL now.
I expect that to change in the next 6-12 months too.
