Do you want to keep your Doctor?
I just heard that "everyone" wants to keep their doctor. Is that true? I have never cared at all who my doctor is. I want to get in asap.

Well we have here a "family doctor" which once you got him assigned, stays forever. So there is no choice anyway.

My old insurer, an HMO plan, no longer included my favored hospital in its network. So, I changed to a policy with a more expensive (considerably) insurer and my primary care physician (PCP -- strange acronym), often referred to as "family doctor" was not included in this HMO.
I have to change PCP doctors now -- the person probably doesn't matter that much -- the hassle and inconvenience and paying for that aggravation does. You cannot see specialists without the referral of your PCP. If we had single payer healthcare all doctors would participate in the *plan* |
I avoid them as they are just Big Pharma puppets i.e. fake medicine

I'm having a hard time trying to find one

I very rarely go to see a doctor. I've never had a "regular" doctor.
The last time I went to the hospital I got a check up, blood test, and was told I was in great shape with the exception of a potassium deficiency. They told me to eat more bananas (which I just did seconds ago). |
My doc in the UK is a jumped up little prick with a Napoleon complex - I am in Spain so much these days I can't be bothered changing - I will when I move back to the UK though...
