That was the first one that came to mind partially because I may have dodged a bullet with them. I had been promoting a couple of their sites and doing well with them so they offered me a deal. They wanted to me to just promote their sites and they would give me a better amount per sale. We agreed in principle on the deal and they sent me a contract. The day after I got the contract the thread about them broke on here on GFY. I ripped the contract up and bolted.

this idiot launched one of the earliest versions with a built in affiliate shaving module and were on the boards drumming up attention, touting it as being a great money making feature.

i mean, he planned this out... then did this when this board was 90% webmasters. it was among the most idiotic things i've witnessed in this industry full of idiots.

It can, it's been done - NATS have said it has been done - They even said that THEY have never said it is shave proof - Only the programs have claimed that and they just didn't correct them...

I'm surprised no one asked if it even matters, as even the dumbest webmaster will always promote sponsors that make them the most money?

Does it really matter if the sponsor "shaves" 20% or if you lose 20% of sales because they are incompetent idiots with buggy or poorly optimized tours?

Obviously it's best to work with only "honest" sponsors, but if "shaving" sponsor turns out to make more money for you, it would be pretty hard for anyone to turn down the extra $$?
