Portland is right in the path and will be a great place to see it. I'm excited. The last time we had a really good eclipse here I was in 2nd grade.

"My" relativism? I don't understand. Science truth doesn't depend on who is stating it, or who discovered it, or even a person's capacity or background to understand it. Science is True, regardless.

And to clarify, I'm fine with religion, and there's nothing that really says you can't be a scientist and religious at the same time. (I find that hard to comprehend, but there are some who are both for sure). What I dislike, is organized religion, or any time religion is used to squash science, or used in place of important medical procedures, or in any attempt to sway public opinion.

The first two are observable, verifiable and proven facts. The third is theory, without verification or proof, based on computer models that are fed a generous supply of flawed and manipulated data. Garbage in, garbage out as they say.
