HBO hackers post ?Game of Thrones? episodes following cyberattack
 

HBO has had some of its programming stolen in what is being described as a cyber incident and is working with law enforcement and cybersecurity firms to get to reveal who led the hack. (Spoiler alert: Video contains scenes from latest episodes)

Apparent HBO hackers have uploaded episodes of Game of Thrones Season 7 following Monday’s cyberattack against the network.

On Monday, HBO suffered what the network called a “cyber incident.”


“HBO recently experienced a cyber incident, which resulted in the compromise of proprietary information. We immediately began investigating the incident and are working with law enforcement and outside cybersecurity firms,” the network said in the statement. “Data protection is a top priority at HBO, and we take seriously our responsibility to protect the data we hold.”

Following the cyberattack, Entertainment Weekly reported hackers were able to access 1.5 terabytes of data from HBO and apparently leaked upcoming episodes of Ballers and Room 104. The script for the next airing of Game of Thrones was also leaked online, according to the entertainment news site. HBO did not confirm any particulars about the leak in its Monday morning statement.

It's kinda like the Grinch That Stole Christmas but they fucked up doing it to GOT fans, they're a loyal bunch and like watching the series together and talking about every episode as they come out.

I don't download TV shows or movies unless I pay for them...and if I was that type of person, I would not want to find out what happens in that way.

This headline is sensationalist. They only got a script for one episode. They supposedly got some "ballers" episodes but none of my usual sources are sharing them, they might still be in the "pay us not to release them" stage. Either way you don't get to watch game of thrones untill we all get to watch it. Settle down.
