Emoji Domains. This shit is getting out of control
Seriously, what the fuck is that? Yeah, for some funny purposes some funny emojis might be funny.
But the prices are ridiculous. Or am I missing the next big thing? https://xn--f28h.to |
It may become 'a thing' but I have refused to come 'on-board' with it.
Now I see emoji can be placed on the subject of a email. Making it near impossible for me to read the truncated subject of the message to know if it is something I want to read or open. Somehow, while not being able to prove it (just yet), I think these can be used for tracking just like the old pixel tracking method. It's not a question of 'if' but 'when that becomes wide-spread. But I read email in 'plain text' for security reasons. Some smart ass that could not make any money with IDN domains, found a way to equate them with emoji's and we shall have a new trademark war of sorts. I see that ebay has started using them in automated messages and with messages that I don't care to receive nor have the choice to stop. So my alternative is to start a script to delete email with emoji's in the subject when they arrive. Now if everyone did the same, and you want me to 'see' your message, you won't do it. Just the same, if you are telling me you want to be a pain in my ass in doing so, I'm not interested in what you have to say. Gee... I wish we had more control of our browsers as well. |
waste of money

Fit for lazy people..

The whole point of using domain names instead of IP addresses is to make it easy for people to remember how to access websites and type them into their browsers or add them to links.
