Confederacy-loving student shown in viral flip-off photo kicked out of Christian college

Allen Armentrout of Pensacola, Florida was kicked out of school after he wore a Confederate uniform to Charlottesville, Virginia.

Video footage revealed Armentrout dressed in the uniform, carrying a Confederate flag and saluting a statue of Robert E. Lee, according to the Pensacola News Journal. A crowd surrounded chanting ?terrorist go home? as he stood motionless.

He told the paper that he wanted to make the trip to Virginia because he wanted to take back the history of his ancestors he felt the KKK and Nazis were misinterpreting. He said he hoped to share ?the true history? of the South and push back against Neo-Nazis he feels have wrongly ?latched on? to Confederate history.

?I went up there to represent what I believe is right,? he told the News Journal.

In an Associated Press video, Armentrout said ?they need to know what they fought for wasn?t slavery or oppression.?

Now he has more time to attend rallies. He shiuld have attended Oral Roberts University. They would have praised him and called him a great christian

His mistake was publicly stating that the confederates weren't fighting for slavery. That's a no-no today.

Confederates were fighting against taxation without representation and what they considered unfair regulations. But blacks have been rewriting the historical narrative to say slavery was the primary issue of the civil war. To suggest otherwise here in 2017 now means you are a filthy racist.

The truth is that Lincoln didn't care about slaves either way. He didn't free the slaves until it looked like he may lose the support of liberals to continue the war. Lincoln's one and only goal was keeping the union together. His action to free the slaves renewed liberal interest in continuing as they now had something worth getting behind (plus it would land a financial blow to the south, lowering the risk of them coming back for another fight).

Interestingly, the north was against southern slavery, but they didn't want free slaves coming north. They were unable to enact plans to remove blacks by force due to legal and political reasons. So instead they had recruiters out trying to coax freed slaves to the isolated Caribbean islands.

There is your truthful, less than glamorous history lesson that is now taboo..... and apparently now gets kids kicked out of school.
