A lawyer I knew from a bar I went to, was telling us one day about a long-time client of his.
The client was who drank about 1/2 gallon a day for years. Because of that, he could function at a level most people, just looking at him, wouldn?t know he was legally drunk.
One day he was driving in an exclusive shopping district, so fancy that for years didn?t have stop signs, let alone traffic lights. It was just understood all intersections were all way stops. He had a fender bender with a turning woman who was at fault. The investigating officer smalled alcohol on his breath and gave him a breathalyzer. He blew a .50!!
The lawyer said he took it to court. Got the officer on the stand. He asked the officer if the test was accurate. The officer said yes. The lawyer turned to the judge and said, ?your honor, the test is inaccurate. The chart states that a .50 you?re dead. My client is sitting here very much alive, so the test must be inaccurate. The judge agreed and dismissed the case.

The dismissal of the case, I can believe just for the jurisdiction. A friend had 4 DUI cases there and never even lost his license. When he got one in the next state, at DUI diversion classes, the counselor told him he had a felony on his record, since he had 3 chargeable DUIs.
He told the counselor to look up his record. All misdemeanors. As Kansas City Missouri refused to give Kansas any of his driving record. (Missouri and Kansas hate each other).

But, I?ve known some serious drinkers who can drink all day and you?d never know they?re drunk.
A guy who drink 30+ Scotch & waters every day in about 3 hours and walk home straight as you can be.
Another friend, in a topless bar they clocked him drinking 22 Jack & Cokes in an afternoon.
My ex-girlfriend who kept a 1/2 gallon of Scotch in her freezer and it never last more than 2 days.
Drink enough and you can function at a different level.

And their liver was as good as a new born babes!!!!:1orglaugh
