Anyone know much about SEO?
 

I've reworked our escort agency site with the belief that it would help to stop the slow decrease in rankings we were suffering from.

Its not done that and we are now dropping rapidly, our main search terms are "newcastle escorts", "newcastle escort" and "north east escorts".

As can be seen, we're dying on our arse from what was mid page 1 for all terms to now page 3 and dropping rapidly. Google forums havent managed to spot anything glaring but theres clearly a problem and a big one.


Anyone seen this before? We had a penalty early on and that resulted in a straight forward 10page drop overnight but 2-3 places per day just seems weird.

The fact Search Console is currently running 7 days behind isnt helping anything either!

when did you do the big changes? it's normal to get a drop in your rankings after the site was changed.
The drop can be temporary but that dependse on what you changed (and a lot of other factors)

I reworded all of the profiles as we literally had 2 or 3 sentences for each and now they're all 300 word plus. In doing so I tried to include internal and a couple of external links, generally just trying to get things to match in with googles view of the world.

Ive added in new pages to cover things such as surrounding areas so Ive got a page discussing North Tyneside, Northumberland etc (all areas in the general Newcastle location) so they should each be ranking somehow for different searches.

Other than that just some rewording of the main pages, adding in content etc

EDIT: These changes were made 2-3 weeks ago and we just kept bouncing around for a good week or so before dropping continuously for the last week.

I open a random profile and I check title.

And WHAT THE FUCKING HELL YOU EXPECT? where is a fucking:

If your main keyword is newcastle escort, dont do an seo title like this:

Your previous/old seo title was actually better

Start with the 'main keyword' and make a proper sentence
for example:

Thanks, the above are nothing to do with us, in fact we have over 3.5k absolute shite backlinks that have been appearing. Im spending an hour or so every night updating the disavow file to remove the shite as quickly as possible.

Trouble is decent backlinks are a fucker to get in this business, its all down to reciprocal links and the like. Its nigh on impossible to get links from facebook, google+ etc. We've been in contact with a load of escort related blogs etc but no joy in getting a review or guest posting etc.

As for the titles I'll happily change them back we took advice on that one and were told it was better the way we're doing them. Happy to reverse that.

Why you need backlinks from facebook? google don't count this links do backlink value basket, don't have any seo value and also those links on some part are unnatural.

Anyway, are you talking about the Google.co.uk? (A nice volume for a keyword, going from the page 1 must be hurting you really bad).
I've just checked current rankings for the three keywords you mentioned.

I've looked at the competitors ranking on the first page and clearly, they have a better link profile. This is a classic mistake many of us are making with websites, ignoring link building. I must admit, it is the most boring thing, that's for sure. Look at the list below, your site is at the bottom. A low in link rank

You have the worst Alexa rank between top 10 competitors and the age of domain doesn't help too, considering there are guys with 14 years old domains on the list.

I believe that situation is not helpless.You don't have many pages on site and you are relying only on the index page, right? I would go for new pages targeting relevant keywords. I wasn't doing page analysis for each page, just the basic check showing things like:

3. Duplicate titles on 7 pages
4.Few empty title tags and alt texts
5. 110! do follow links
