Paxum holds our money

Hello everyone!

We are the large webcam studio who worked with Paxum for many years, receiving payments from our partners - adult webcam sites and then making payments to our models from this Paxum account. Three weeks ago our Paxum account was limited without any warning or notification. I found out about this only when I tried to make a transaction and could not do it. I asked the support team to clarify the situation and clarify the reasons for the blockage. No answer has yet been received! In general, I still have no explanation, they just write: "We're reviewing your inquiry and as soon as an update is available we will notify you." And this situation is still being so already for 3 weeks!

Apparently, all those companies and people who work with Paxum should expect an unexpected account lockout with a balance of several tens of thousands of dollars on it without any explanation and the fact that Paxum will let you down and your business.

Hi there,

I don't see anything in my email that matches what you describe. Can you please email me or Skype me your Paxum email (username), or let me know a ticket ID so I can look into this for you?

Thanks,

Ruth :)

You might want to email or skype her like she asked. Shooting your ID on a forum might not be the best idea :upsidedow

Ah okay, thank you. Yes you did email me on Monday, I didn't recognize it from the description in your post here as your post contains more information than in the email you sent to me.

I replied to you at the time to explain that I don't have access to information in an ongoing investigation. I'm sorry but there's nothing I can do to assist you in this situation.

¢ash 08-25-2017 10:13 AM

Ruth, how long "investigation" will go on? Paxum hold my money for 3 weeks without any explanation.

Nothing, just receive money from my webcam partners and pay to my models. It can be easily tracked.

So Paxum just holds a customer's money and he wants to know why and they say they don't have that information. Scary.

No, I said I don't have that information. Big difference :)

The client has been informed of the ongoing situation, and has been advised there would be a ticket update when further information is available.

There really is no need to try to spin this into something nefarious. :)

Sounds like PayPal ☹️

To do this on top of closing a bunch of US accounts without warning depending on the state, as discussed in this thread:
https://gfy.com/fucking-around-and-pr...d-account.html

It is obvious that Paxum is currently under pressure from some US authority. Given their silence, not even being able to tell which state are no longer accepted at Paxum.com, it won?t take long before people start pulling out all their money at the same time leading to a second Epassporte fiasco.

I?m currently really concerned about the money I have at Paxum and will have to work on an alternative, risk has become to high!

GFY is, first and foremost, nefarious (but forgiving with real scammers). We love you, Ruth.

Obviously NOT, or they wouldn't be here looking for more info.

Money held without adequate explanation by a financial intermediary and fiduciary is pretty much the DEFINITION of nefarious.

¢ash 08-30-2017 09:33 AM

BTW, our account still locked and there still no explanation from Paxum.

Bladewire 08-30-2017 10:06 AM

Years ago I was in Vegas on a bro trip / bachelor party and three days in between the drugs alcohol & gambling winnings I go-to take money out from my account, that was LOADED with cash and it says $0 balance. Someone stealing your money is a bitch.

Someone withholding YOUR money with no detail given is a serious violation of trust.

Ruth is always polite and helpful on GFY but for whatever reason you guys use Paxum, is it really worth the risk?

It just seems it's only a matter of time until you lose access to your money due to switching banks, expired card, fraud, ongoing investigation, etc.

No shade on Paxum as they're doing their best to provide a service some want. I'm just going on the threads posted on GFY , not personal experience, and Ruth always does her best here with what she's working with.

When I've see theses threads over the years it always brings me back to that day my money was gone, the shock I felt, the anger and the feeling of helplessness. I wouldn't wish that on anyone.

TheDynasty 08-30-2017 10:19 AM

sounds awful i'd be pissed off if they held my funds

thats why i use payoneer / first choice bank

never ever have any problem EVER!

Don't trust these guys to many threads closing accounts something sounds off!

Given the amount I would pay to get a lawyer to send them a formal notice. What they are doing is probably not legal. Usually banks send you a notice telling you they will close your account and that you have 30 days to leave. Then they send you a check for the remaining balance.

They never keep your money like that unless a court orders them to do so and if it was the case here you would know about it. Paxum could put you out of biz because of this none sense!
