Is there any solution to the current rise of website clones?

I see odir.us is cloning sites, any solution to this fucker?

add a rel= canonical and hope they overlook it in the clone?

Same problem with that site too he got 3 - 4 of my classified / directories.

Like Barry said, just find a script that breaks out of the frame, problem solved.

All sorts of people fucking around these days. I am trying to figure out what to do about someone trying to ride on my brand by registering .co versions of my domain names and putting sites on them doing the same thing I am.

Not wanting to have to invest thousands in the legal to take care of the issues but looking like I might have to go that way.

Oh well, life in the adult interwebs, ya know?

As well as javascript solution mentioned above there is apache/nginx solution:

APACHE: Header always append X-Frame-Options SAMEORIGIN

NGINX: add_header X-Frame-Options SAMEORIGIN;

Hope this helps other hard working webmasters around who are also sick of people ripping off your hardwork. Here is to the spirit of webmasters helping each other out for a change instead of bitching.

Yes, it will prevent any cross-site scripting on that server configuration.
Use with caution.

Images cannot be hot linked either.

Using a sub domain or a domain without that SAMEORIGIN for hotlinked or shared content would be a viable option.

If you use Varnish 4.x (in sub vcl_deliver):

Guys I just figured out how this website cloning shit is being done. It's pretty sneaky and creative. I realized it just now when a client had this issue. Will write up a post about how it's done and how to block as soon as i figure it out. It's not gonna be easy to block...

Someone told me that the .co version existed about a week ago. I really did not know it was you that registered it. I thought it might be because of a mention of tancenter on there but I had absolutley no proof of anything till now.

I did NOT send false DMCAs to anybody about anything. That is a crime that can cost the perpetrator $100,000 and I would never take a chance like that. So, once again you are accusing me of something that I did not do.

I was not being nice to you. I was trying to figure out what the fuck was going on with you on the other guy on the domain/site deal. To do that I needed to shut down the volume of the conversation some so I contacted you in private and I contacted the other guy in private when I did the database download. That simple. I was trying to help, that is all.

Do not accuse me of having ulterior motives just because you would have them.

I did contact Chaturbate just a day or 2 ago (right about when I posted here because it was on my mind) asking what I can do about someone using my brand and I told them about your site. I also asked one or 2 other people what I might be able to do about it.

If I had known it was you you would have heard from me. I don't play games, I usually approach stuff head on.

But I did not have proof it was you and unlike you I do not go off on people without definitive proof.

Here is what I knew about the domain:

1. The whois shows it privacy protected
2. Reverse DNS says that there is nothing on the server.
3. ARIN says the ip it is on belongs to RIPE

Once I saw the RIPE, I gave up on trying to track it down any further and that is when I asked Chaturbate if they could do anything about it.

So, like I said, you want to continue this then either start a new thread or take it private.

I'll give you an example of how I do things. A while back I registered wildgirls.cam, back when Barry was pushing the .cam extension.

I have been working on a method to get keyword love to a cb whitelabel so a few days ago I put a cb whitelabel up on the domain. While checking to see if it got indexed I noticed that wildgirls.com was a cam whitelabel. I immediately went in and shut down my whitelabel, changed the dns back to parking and then went and set up a different domain for my whitelabel.

I didn't need anyone to come after me. I just did it because that is the way I am. Maybe naive but I sleep well at night knowing that I haven't fucked anybody over and there is no reason for anybody to come fuck with me.

I don't want the domain. I would appreciate it if it wasn't being used to attempt to confuse the brand but if that is the way you do business, so be it.

I am not that way and nothing is going to make me be that way or else I would have been out registering tancenter. whatever for the past hour or so.
