The Porn Industry Goes Social With PinSex

RIP

Why anyone know the real backstory?

PinSex is currently getting between 120,000 and 150,000 unique visits per day, with a goal of breaking 1 million by the end of the year, according to Christian Thorn, the CEO of PinDigital, the startup behind both PinSex and PinGay. With little market competition, Thorn?s sites could become social erotica giants.

I do not know that backstory

Is porn a social event?

I wonder if one of the reasons Chaturbate is successful has a lot to do with the live chat chat banter. Guys beating off to the cam performers and talking about it? The occasional girl rubbing her pussy or asshole (etc.).

We constantly hear the rants about Facebook or Twitter (or other) banning a user account because of explicit adult content.

What if there was a porn friendly social media? Traffic, ads and selling commercial subscriptions is the idea as will as peer2peer live webcams.

PinSex.com is down for me..

Isn't that tinder, Grindr, Tumblr pretty much?

Guys like Chaturbate because it's like a live interactive group JO / bukakke :winkwink:

Barry-xlovecam 09-14-2017 04:33 PM

I know the domain is dead now ^^RIP;)

But what killed it "getting between 120,000 and 150,000 unique visits per day"

Tinder and Tumblr just 'tolerate' porn until they say so
Show me where it says in the TOS or AUP your content is GUARANTEED safety -- it isn't
Specifically in the TOS without a bunch of weasel words ...

TheDynasty 09-14-2017 04:41 PM

Maybe because the niches were so fucked up like on other sites?

Pinterest Claims PinSex, PinGay Are Cybersquatting

BARCELONA — Pinterest Inc., the $5 billion startup that offers its mainstream pinup board, has filed a cybersquatting claim against the company that operates PinSex.com and PinGay.com. Pinterest.com officials claim the adult entertainment sites infringe on its own operations and have asked WIPO arbitrators to order a transfer of the do mains in the UDRP case. Each of the sites — Pinterest.com, PinSex.com and Pin Gay.com — operate on a similar concept: The sites are driven by a pinup board content manage ment system allowing users to drag and drop favorite items, creating their own unique collection.

Something else is keeping social media afloat while porn-social media fails because there's nothing protecting it.

Twitter has never turned a profit:
Twitter numbers paint grim profitability picture | Reuters

Facebook constantly overstates its profitability and plays a slick game of 3-card monty with its numbers:
https://www.cnbc.com/2017/09/06/sell...s-pivotal.html

Youtube is lucky if it breaks even each month:
YouTube: 1 Billion Viewers, No Profit - WSJ

You can literally dig into every one of these social media sites/apps and find the same kind of big Hollywood production style hype. However their profits never turn out to be all that great and in many cases profits are non-existent. I've got no idea how these sites have been getting away with bullshitting the markets but if or when this bubble bursts it's going to be fucking massive.

ok...
No domain is safe anymore...
I mean pinsex, pingay and pintrest are clearly 3 different things..
You think some one would notice the difference...

I feel it is like youtube claiming rights on every domain ending in tube... :2 cents:

And I was just about to launch this awesome porn pin site....

Cause sex.com did a better job?

adultforum 09-15-2017 03:14 AM

We don't have enough data to rank this website. - pinsex.com
It's hard to believe that it gets between 120,000 and 150,000 unique visits per day, every day.

Barry-xlovecam 09-15-2017 04:31 AM

The officers, executives and employees of Twitter and Facebook have made good money and in some cases in the IPO's have made fortunes in stock options. What you have made???

Why are you trying to look up stats for a domain seized in a UDRP arbitration for cybersquatting in 2014?

Revenue is revenue. VC capital today is a form of revenue.
