Major Rick Scott scandal about to let loose.. (FL governor)

There was a nursing home in FL after the hurricane where 11 people ended up dying,. The nursing home claimed they called Rick Scott personally to request assistance prior to anyone dying..

Rick Scott claimed no one called and very publicly stated he was going to have the state DOJ press charges and revoked their license,. Now it appears the nursing home did call, and they called 36 hours before the 1st person died reporting a emergency directly to Rick Scott asking him to help them get power back immediately.. They called 4 times and Rick Scott publicly lied about it and deleted the messages..

Lock the piece of shit up..

It's a shame. He seemed like a decent guy, clearly he's your typical lying self serving weasley politician.

What are you talking about? He's been a known asshole for years.

Even Rudy Giuliani looked like a great guy during 9/11...but we all know he's a piece of fucking shit.

Brush up on your history, Rick Scott 'oversaw the largest Medicare fraud' in U.S. history way before he became governor. Being a thief or convict is no barrier to public office in Florida, but Scott takes the cake.

^^ This ^^

If you live in Florida and don't know what Rick Scott has been up to for years, its time to do some digging. Once you find out you'll never vote for that SOB again.

This is a horrible situation.

However, it was during a Category Five hurricane. At a certain point there is just nothing our government and or local responders can do. Did they call his office directly? I am sure they did. I am also sure it was "emergency item #33,683 on his list of "emergency things to do".

Horrible and tragic, but.... I'm sure they were getting hundreds of such phone calls per hour with "emergencies". And frankly, what is the governor's office going to do - Get in a truck and drive down there to rescue them?

Yeah...I wouldn't blame Rick Scott for this personally. There was a ton of shit to attend to and I'm sure he did his best. But we can all agree the guy is a fucking tool who shouldn't be in charge of a state.

Its the point, that he was publicly trashing the nursing home and then we find out they told the truth and he lied.. The guy is pure scum..

Why is it we never hear of scandals that these politicians were in until after they are elected.

While I hate to bring it up, but, it is a clear example since the general public knew nothing of the Russian Money laundering of Trump by the Federal Government until after he was elected. Many still do not know of it and it is public record of the DOJ and other federal & state courts. Multiple instances.

No wonder people now think it is just fake news. Go Figure.

You would think political opposition would do the deeds but it must be 'i won't tell on you if you don't tell on me'
... what else is one to believe.

The only thing you can count on is that Everyone has a angle and none of it benefits you !

They did, but it requires people who intend to vote for him to listen..He's Republican and Republicans tend to vote for any piece of shit their party puts in front of them...

., Rick Scott, also created a law where welfare recipients had to take drug tests. It cost FL a shit load of money, and guess who owned the company who was given the contract to do the testing?

It was Rick Scotts company... well technically he handed to company over to his wife just before he got the contract so it wouldnt seem shady.....

He also allowed Duke energy to pocket over a billion dollars for a nuclear power plant they never built.. He did this shit his 1st term and Republican dumb dumbs voted him back i office a 2nd term, because they would vote for a pile of shit if you put a Republican hat on. it...

Probably another case of 'DRAIN THE SWAMP'.... so someone can make a housing development on a flood plain.

It's funny how you can evoke emotion with just a few fairly meaningless issues and gain control over some very important ones without any blinks and without a commitment.

Freedom of speech... How much is in your wallet ?

The information about Scott was out there. Very well documented. But as someone else mentioned, Republican voters would vote for anyone, as long as they are Republican.

They should have said that instead of lying about it. :2 cents:

Nope, sadly Florida Republicans would still vote for him.

I'm pretty sure certain places like this were given direct access numbers so they could get help directly due to 911 lines potentially being jammed.
