WASHINGTON ? A lawsuit filed in federal court on Tuesday contends that major American corporations doing business with the Iraqi government during the Iraq War also provided it with free drugs and medical devices that became an important source of funding for a Shiite militia that targeted United States troops.
The lawsuit was filed on behalf of members of the American military who were injured or killed by attacks between 2005 and 2009, at the height of the Iraq War. It accuses five companies ? American firms General Electric, Johnson & Johnson and Pfizer and European drugmakers AstraZeneca and Roche Holding A.G. ? of winning contracts to sell their products to the Iraqi Ministry of Health with the understanding that they also provide additional medical supplies and medicines for free.

I read an article about this last night and didn't understand it. It seems three large medical companies sold medical supplies to Iraq.... What happened then had nothing to do with the three medical companies. There is a lot of corruption in the Iraqi government, and yes, most likely some of those supplies were sold or given to terrorist groups, and or sold to provide money to terrorist groups. You can say this about any product ever sold to a Middle Eastern country.

When communist Russia invaded Ukraine and shot down a civilian airliner it was terrorism.

every invasion is terrorism and every act of violence committed for political gains is also terrorism...

the fact that another country did something, in no way washes the blood off of the hands of the #1 invader and bomb dropper...in no way whatsoever...

Jane's Defence said an SA-5 has a range of 300 kilometers (186 miles)

Russian President Vladimir Putin also said he doubted whether Ukrainian missiles would have had the range to hit the plane.

Nevertheless, U.S. officials said they had "convincing" indications the plane was hit by a Ukrainian SA-5 missile.
