Facebook does not exist to make other people money. This is the way free works -- give it away until you have the traffic then make the commercial beneficiaries pay.

They own the platform and they will make the rules.

Then perhaps people should stop posting content to Facebook that makes Facebook money.

This. As of about two or three years ago views on new page posts sharply dropped off and FB started begging me to promote posts. Is the total removal of organic reach really going to change much for a typical page?

I remember when it was still possible to just spam my content on huge related pages and get it upvoted to top... thousands of free targeted visitors x) they already put shit in the shadow at that time, quite fast, so I just made my own url shortener and registered hundreds of free domains :D
