Do You Use a Credit Monitoring Service?

Do You Use a Credit Monitoring Service?

If so,:stoned which one do you use?

Experian -- they send me free reports after Home Depot? was hacked -- they are a fucking joke -- now Experian got hacked and told the public months after it happened.

I know it doesn't help but it is a joke to upsell I think -- fox watching the henhouse.
Positive result story anyone?

A credit monitoring service tells you when a criminal has opened a line of credit in your name. They will usually help you clean up the mess.

A credit freeze prevents a criminal from opening a line of credit in your name. No mess.

Which one do you choose?

Really, doesn't matter -- I borrow from myself these days.

What's next -- sell identity theft insurance policies?

Again, any success stories out there?
Most of this is a crock of shit.

Maybe, I should email spam some fake testimonials and sell fraudulent identity theft insurance policies LMAO.

People that use this service probably have enough money not to care how much it costs per month.

Experian is a joke. I suggest you don't go there. Once you sign up and figure out they don't update your accounts for months it will take you at least 2 hours on hold to cancel because they don't have a way to cancel on their site.

Experian sucks. According to Experian I am deceased. I am the third - meaning my grandfather was senior, my father was junior, and I am the III. Experian refuses to accept the fact I am alive.

I think there's a good case against them for not putting a way to cancel on their site. Especially since their breach. There's been talk of reforming the credit bureau's. It's definitely needed but we'd likely end up with it being ran by the IRS. :1orglaugh:1orglaugh
