Trump and his cronies really have to be really fucking dumb ti think this would go under the radar. Something this simple show how far over their head they are when they actually think they can get away with such obvious corruption.

Fucking Trump scumbags ocean again trying to steal tax payers money. These guys need to be hung for treason. Treason is what it is at this point...

It's amazing how brazen they are. We've all known these kinds of people...sociopaths who will get away with whatever they can and will play dumb when called out for it. That's what we have in the white house.

Smack dat 10-28-2017 04:19 PM

Good decision IMO. The company is part owned by it's subsidiary which is a large energy supplier covering Puerto Rico.
Using local connections they are best placed to get the job done quickly, efficiently and cheaply.

Man,

I'm sorry, but you make trumpies look good by contrast. I so hope your just trolling, and not so limited by your world view that this myopia actually dominates your reality.

You should look at everything with the same skepticism, even your own "team".

Both sides need to make more concessions, both should be open to a fair fact based "practical" and non emotional dialogue.

We are humans first, and for better or worse we are stuck with eachother. Might as well try to agree to disagree - and focus on the changes you do agree on instead.

Damn - subcontractor site supervisor makes $450 an hour. Clearly I am in the wrong line of work. I have a college degree in electrical engineering - I should apply.

All kidding aside, this seems to be a bad decision by someone - the question is who. Do I think someone in the Trump White House signed off on this? No. But someone somewhere in the federal government did sign off on it, and they work for Trump. Trump needs to understand that he represents ALL government employees AND every decision they make. OR he just blame Hillary and demand an investigation.

Rochard 10-28-2017 10:08 PM

By the way... All of this with Puerto Rico.... Is just getting worse. They are American citizens and need to be treated as such. This cannot be swept under the rug.

San Juan, Puerto Rico (AP) -- Puerto Rico's governor on Sunday demanded that the board of the island's power company cancel the $300M contract with Whitefish Energy Holdings amid increased scrutiny of the Montana company's role in Hurricane Maria recovery efforts.

The announcement by Gov. Ricardo Rossello comes as federal legislators seek to investigate the contract awarded to the small company from Interior Secretary Ryan Zinke's hometown.

Its pretty obvious who.. The company is in the home town of Trump dept of energy secretary. Its obvious who did it and this is just one thing that got caught.. His entire admin is corrupt because he put people in charge of things who can make money from the things they are in charge of.

In the good ole days these guys would all be shot for treason..

Chump leads by example! In other words if he can make bank from being president then its ok for others to follow. Flood the swamp

Looks like the contract has been canceled and the FBI is investigating it. It turns out Interior Secretary Ryan Zinke has connections to the company and is from the same small town in Montana.

Trump did say he would create jobs, he just didn't say it would be with the FBI having to do mass hirings to keep up with all the investigations. :)

really bad that they did not look any further in this subcontractor´s identity.
I am pretty sure that you will find there the connections to the corrupts what have signed for that.

this is the way corruption works. they are not that dumb to give the contracts directly to their own companies. they give it to midgets like that and these ones are hiring terrible expensive subcontractors or consultants.

Paul Markham 10-31-2017 02:37 AM

That reminds me of the Film "Wag the Dog". The libtards swallowed it without thinking. A 2 man team has no chance of getting as a contract.

Barry-xlovecam 10-31-2017 05:33 AM

Emergency government contracts should be for cost and material + 15% --with some reasonable cap on them until they can be bid competitively at some near future date.

It is public money -- to be accounted for.

I don't know the calculations involved to create a set of odds, but I would definitely say that the odds of the one many electrical contractors in the US getting a no-bid job to rewire Puerto Rico happens to be from the same town as the interior secretary is probably a very lopsided odds.
