Is InterneXt still worth it?
I have attended internext events between 2003 and 2005 (miami & vegas) . It's was the good old time;
But is It still worth it in 2017? I heard it was quite useless and drepessing nowadays. Your honest opinion on this please? |
good question
|
Of course it is. But you can't truly compare today's shows with those from the early 2000s. The industry has evolved quite a lot since then, but I'm sure you know that.
|
It depends what you're selling/buying.
|
no. pure joke. havent been worth a fuck in > decade
|
I still enjoy it and get plenty of business done but like others have said it isn't quite the same as it once was.
|
Each show is what you make of it, book your day meetings before you attend, the night is to enjoy Vegas..
|
Of course the industry itself is no longer what it once was...and the shows reflect that.
BUT, why would you NOT go to the major show in the U.S. for the industry that you are a part Of? It's a few days of gathering with people in this business. Unless you simply can't afford to get to Vegas...it's a no-brainer that you should be there |

With regard to Internext itself, I for one still believe its one of the best shows to attend. The panels/seminars are well organized and the attendee list will be a mixed bag from all across the different sectors in the industry. The networking opportunities alone make this show a can't miss. Hang out at the Circle Bar, I can't tell you how many people I have met at Internext hanging out in that spot. Hope to see you at the show. |
Everyone who is anyone in this business is still at Internext.
So yes. And as mentioned above each show is what you make of it. |
Those that attend are doing so to get business done, for the price of admission it's well worth the trip.

Most of the business done at these shows can be done via Skype, email, etc. The shows are mainly for people who are professional show-attenders. Billers, traffic brokers, cam companies, dating and little else. It's the same people, over and over again, at every show.

I remember going to these shows... it was only fun for me to run around and shoot my models or other girls that were exposing hotness.
Business... I dunno. I have a hosting company, I have my own cameras, I have my own models, I have a billing company... The Porn Nerd said... "Most of the business done at these shows can be done via Skype, email, etc." He's right in my opinion... if there were fun themed parties and shooting events and exhibitions, I might consider going to another one. Otherwise, to me these shows are a waste of time and money nowadays. Seriously, I do not recall getting one tiny bit of business done there... except some shooting. However, it was nice to meet a few people face to face that I do do business with. I surmise that maybe the big big big companies might be in back rooms doing political and strategic planning to dominate the industry... maybe that is what's really happening while the smaller dogs are drinking and hanging out. If they are listening and want to buy me out... I will take 10 million and call it a day. Any takers? |

it's always useful to meet new people in the industry :thumbsup

These are strictly b2b shows , correct?
Guess these days its all about cams, dating and billing companies. If it was more producer oriented, it would be much more interesting - opening it to the general public to attract girls who are curious about shooting porn, talent scouts, agencies, or to show your brand to the general public... actually talk what is this business all about .. CONTENT. |
