Yes, lots of people are happy with him. What has he done that's so bad? Serious question

Everyone is glad Hillary lost. Grow up.

Trump can take credit for that but he has nothing to do with it really -- there is more capital in the USA available that there are good investments, ideas or start up ventures. It has been that way for a few years.

I got more and more banks 'begging (soliciting)' to lend me money in the past 6 months. Why -- on short term the banks are anticipating a rise in the interest rates -- that's why.

You are (may?) going to see a prime rate of 8% -- 10% soon (2018 after the general elections).

So basically.... Consumer Confidence has been swing for the past eight years?

It (credit) is absolutely not the point of my thread.

My point is laughing at some delusional (or scared by msm) people who actually thought America was going to collapse (or whatever doom and gloom scenario they envisioned) once Trump was elected.

While in fact everything is going great - confidence index at all time high, stock index at heights, unemployment rates decent, small business confidence at heights etc etc.

I'll agree with that.

I believe our economy moves at a very slow pace - meaning change happen slow. A new president doesn't walk into office and in a few months has a huge change in the economy.

Even with Obama. He surely did things that helped, but honestly, things couldn't have gotten much worse.

Bush didn't get Obama going. I don't want to say it was all Obama, but the one thing that was needed most was time. Keep in mind that Obama had two crappy years at first.

Hello Fantasy Man

http://ic.c4assets.com/bips/noel-fie...put-quality=90

According to a MSM documentary I watched recently, over 80% of Trump voters are happy with what he has accomplished.

They also interviewed people on the street, ordinary people with ordinary jobs, one woman said she doesn't watch any local or national news any longer due to lack of real journalism.

Neither did she restrain herself from criticising CNN, the godfather of U.S. MSM propaganda.

Many of those voting for Trump had no trouble criticising him and rightfully so, but generally they had no problem to set aside those issues.

Another thing that came up numerous times is the fact U.S. is strongly divided and there's no real solution to gather people together with such opposite opinions.

That's like Osama bin Laden taking credit for the run-up in housing prices after 9/11

What I failed to understand is that the economy is pretty easy to figure out. For the past eight years the Republican party has been telling us how horrible the economy has been. It sure was when Obama took office, and eventually once the ship was righted he did better. It wasn't quick, but you can see in all of the stats how unemployment went down, month after month, for seventy months in a row. We handed Trump an economy with a 4% unemployment rate.

Paul Markham 11-01-2017 11:52 AM

How has the US been doing for the last 40 years? For your average American.

Unless you are replying to somebody specific who claimed that, I already said:

"It (credit) is absolutely not the point of my thread."
