did you guys watch wonder woman?

fuck I felt like I was trapped in a Hillary for president time loop.... the mother fuckers even had chris pine crying into the camera apologizing for everything white men have done... it was truly amazing. :thumbsup

sarettah 11-06-2017 09:45 PM

I have no idea what movie you saw but the Wonder Woman movie I saw was excellent imho. Fast paced, a lot of fun in places. Told a great story. I did not get up from my seat even when the popcorn ran out, and I could have gotten a free refill, I usually do.

It is the only movie I have actually purchased in a hell of a long time.

.

RyuLion 11-06-2017 09:56 PM

I agree, Wonder Woman movie kicks ass!

Rochard 11-06-2017 10:05 PM

It was okay, wasn't great. I'd hit it, that's for sure.

so you missed the scene with Chris pine crying into the camera admitting he fucked everything up and feels super quality all the time? btw if a script written for 8th-grade intellect rocks your world? WTF do you want from me?

SashaRed 11-07-2017 02:02 AM

I saw Wonder Woman, it didn't impress me at all. All the hype, all the trailers made it seem like the most amazing movie of all times. Nope, it was ok-ish, but not amazing. I'd rather watch Iron Man (all of them) or Harry Potter haha, who watched Harry Potter??? Am I the only weirdo that loves that series????

MrBottomTooth 11-07-2017 02:07 AM

I really didn't like it. I must have some kind of attention deficit disorder as I can't seem to sit through any of those recent marvel / dc films without losing interest part way through. I loved the first Iron Man though,

DesignerMissy 11-07-2017 02:10 AM

I watched the movie, and really loved it. It definitely wasn't as amazing as they made it look, but I enjoyed the acting, the epic soundtrack, and the story, cheesy as it was. Looking forward to Justice League.

Have not watched yet, based on other suggestion from Sarettah, I ll give it a go, he is usally on point. Welcome to GFY Missy! Feel free to show your stuff :321GFY

nico-t 11-07-2017 04:26 AM

i'll never understand adults (who don't have kids, or by themselves) voluntarily watching these incredibly stupid childish cookie cutter fantasy superhero movies made for 10 year olds.

And please don't suggest me anything. Every time someone said 'but this one is really good!' and i thought, OK lets check it out... I thought 'holy shit, this guy who recommended this shit must be fucking retarded'.

EvaDevine 11-07-2017 04:30 AM

It was meh... I have a lesbian crush on Gal Gadot and that's the only reason why I went to see the movie.

bns666 11-07-2017 04:35 AM

could be better...

You guys have to seriously start checking to see if you still have your nuts if you feel threatened by anything that makes women appear strong -- puts a white male in a lesser role. You're still in charge, don't worry about it.

Any man complaining about Wonder Woman is a WOMAN. And in the OP's case, also a racist.

Thanks for the compliment but I like movies that entertain me. Some people think that is non-intellectual apparently. I am not sure what they expect from a film but I don't shell out cash to end up feeling bad, I can watch the evening news and get that for free.

To give you an idea of my tastes, the other movie I really liked this year was "Despicable Me 3". You gotta love the minions, ya know?

.

DownThePoole 11-07-2017 07:09 AM

Yap, Gal Gadot Kicks ass.

danep 11-07-2017 07:11 AM

It was a long movie, didn't suck as the latest Batman Superman installment, however it was definitely in the Meh zone.

Bertholomy 11-07-2017 07:26 AM

I started watching it and fell asleep in the middle.. Gal Gadot is hot but not that good of an actress.

CurrentlySober 11-07-2017 07:46 AM

On a side note, I was interested to find out why she had started wearing a skirt, and was it over the starry hotpants from Linda Carters days in the late 70s... Then I looked up the history of her uniform and realised it hanged a lot anyway...

What is under her skirt in the new outfit anyway?

I'll give you the fact that movies have gotten pretty shitty and desperate over the last 5-10 years when it comes to writing and ideas in general but I still go and try to enjoy what them when I can. You seem to hate things and don't watch them. How do you even know if they're good or not if you never watch them? It sounds like when you do you are so full of doubt and pure piss there is no way you would ever enjoy it. That sounds terrible.

LOL! Why so sensitive?

Wonder Woman was decent. It was a strong entry into the DC Movie universe, and much better than Superman V Batman which was just awful.

And face it, Gal Gadot is really sexy. She's doesn't have the boobage of Linda Carter, but she doesn't need it.

My only minor complaint about WW was that the ending ran on for a little too long. Otherwise, decent movie.

Same here. Iron Man and all of the movies in the MCU are better than all of the DC movies except for The Dark Knight.

I am having trouble keeping interest in DC. The Dark Knight was a beautifully crafted film (Chris Nolan director) of course, but the rest just fall flat. (WW is decent).

I warmed up to the Marvel side after watching a few of the movies a second time. I didn't like Captain America: The First Avenger the first time I saw it, but now really like it. Iron Man 3 was kinda sorta "Ok" when I saw it the first time too, but I like it more now that I've watched it twice.

I don't understand it either. I think I like these movies because they are just "Fun". It's pure escapism. It's comic books come to life. Fun.

I felt like I was watching little pony for of some other little kids cartoon.. and the political objectives were so fucking obvious it was a joke. in fact I have been unable to watch much of the newer stuff. I actually thought the great wall with matt damon was cool, great effects and no obvious propaganda. you should take the time to read 1984, its the future you are striving for :2 cents:

mark I basically live inside beautiful woman's pussies, so while thanking you for the gift, it really is unnecessary. I don't think you guys really understand a shooters life

Hahaha, not sure which Wonder Woman you watched, but one with Gal Gadot is awesome :D

i watched some of them due to recommendations, or me thinking 'they can't be all bad. Lets try and watch this one'.

Some I have seen:

Thor 1 - Was on TV. Horrible, horrible movie. Could not finish it.

Wolverine 1 - Chose to watch it because, believe it or not, as a kid my favorite was Wolverine. Boy did i regret putting this on... It really, really sucked. What a waste.

Captain America 1 - On TV, thought i'd let it on. Result: I was witnessing the worst movie I have seen in at least the last decade. This movie is not only the worst superhero movie i've seen, but the worst movie period.

Iron Man 1 - Also on TV. Forgettable and childish, not as annoyingly bad as the aforementioned. I do understand kids might like this one. Adults? Nope.

Deadpool - Recommendation, "it's different than the others, you'll like it!". Holy shit. Despite the 'adult' theme, it was one of the most childish movies out of them all. Insanely annoying, unfunny hip 'banter'. About 30 or 40 minutes in i just could not take it anymore and had to shut it off.

There is an exception though, Punisher: War zone. Extremely entertaining, brilliantly funny villains and great action and gore. Underrated and way better than the boring and forgettable one with Thomas Jane.

fair enough, however, I did not think you were a sex shooter shooting hardcore for over 10 years... things are not the same after that. we are possibly not the same about pussy. imagery means little to me without drama... I'm not sure you guys are prepared to accept how little I interface with society and the media other than my immediate work or artistic concerns. I'm really not like you at all. other than wishing for the betterment of humanity.

would you like to read a script I just started? typos and all.... actually I just wrote the opening few minutes. I got inside the world now I'm looking around for the right story ... much more interesting than the liar's activity.

No. Honestly it could be the best thing ever and I wouldn't appreciate it. I haven't read a book in years, and I don't understand the script format. But if it was a sci-fi short-story about time travel, I would read it.

Just do it. I think everyone needs a creative outlet such as music, painting, writing, or anything else. Turn off the soul crushing news and noise of the outside and start coaxing your inside to speak-up a little and make something interesting.

Have fun!

dude. you are a hell of a guy...

I never say anything derogatory about women you can believe that... I was 'using the good ole boy at the construction job' persona which I had to hide inside of for years.

what I hated about that life were the categories and the negative sexualization placed on gender or for some other reason. and truthfully I do not understand the sexuality of polarized groups or political agendas.

women are my thing. I spend the majority of my time with women. I only think about women, and the time I spend with women is precious to me. weird I know... when I see a woman I see her from a child to maturity, her beauty, her everything. my training as a shooter and my 30 years fucking around with the lens and looking at women...? raising a woman from a baby to adult? I have no idea why my sight/insight tune this in for me.

and I keep the topic on fun stuff, not hostile activities. for instance, my opinion on abortion let the people with ovaries sort it out. I like a simple life. I often think of god, however, I place no religious limitations on god or god activities. if I need to know, I'll find out. until such time I have no fucking idea what god is doing or undoing or not doing in anyone else's life.

it all boils down to is: I have no fucking clue what other people need to do to make it right in their heads about fucking and praying. and actually, I'm pretty sure it's none of my business as my sexual and spiritual concerns are not theirs. :thumbsup

actually, I have written short sci-fi stories. the first stuff I ever wrote when I was a kid lol!!
